I used the Misty Moonlight Marker from the 2021-2023 In Color Markers pack to colour in parts of the birdhouse. Doesn’t it look sweet.

Using Versamark ink I stamped the sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set onto the Misty Moonlight strip, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool. I flagged the end with scissors.

Using the Peach Dies and the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine I cut some tiny flowers from the scrap Petal Pink card and added them to the tree with Mini Glue Dots.

I glued the stamped panel to the Misty Moonlight layer and then to the Petal Pink card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The sentiment was then added using the same glue.

To complete the card, I added a Basic Rhinestone to the centre of each flower.

Garden Wishes for the Colour Combo Blog Hop

Colour Combo Blog Hop April 2021

Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from ….’s blog I bet you loved her project. You are currently visiting Mo Rootes from near Cambridge in the UK.

The colours for this month’s challenge are:

To recreate the Garden Wishes card, you will need:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Cherry Cobbler – 5” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 4¾” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 5½” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler

To begin I stamped the dandelion image from the Garden Wishes stamp set in Old Olive ink and used Old Olive and So Saffron Blends Markers to colour the image in.

I decided the image needed something more and added a group of small flowers from the Grace’s Garden stamp set in Old Olive ink and coloured them in using the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Blends.

The stamped layer was added to the Cherry Cobbler layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added a strip of Lace Trim to the side of the panel using Tear & Tape before adhering it to the Old Olive card front.

The sentiment from the Garden Wishes stamp set was stamped in Old Olive ink onto scrap Very Vanilla, trimmed out with sharp scissors. I mounted it on a scrap of Old Olive. It looked a little plain so I die cut the sweet edge strip from the Be Mine dies from a scrap of Cherry Cobbler card and cut it to fit.

A pretty birthday card featuring Floating butterflies for the Colour Combo Blog Hop

Floating for the Colour Combo Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop. Our colours this month are Melon Mambo, Bumblebee and Pool Party, such lovely bright cheerful colours. I have chosen to use the Floating and Fluttering stamp set to make my card. Please continue around the hop to see what inspiration the other demos have for us today.

To recreate the floating card, you will need:

Melon Mambo – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Bumblebee – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner x 2 – one for the inside
Whisper White 4” by 3”

Using the fabulous Blending Brushes, I added some Pool Party ink to one of the large Whisper White panels. I added some speckles using a stamp from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set using the same Pool Party ink. This adds some subtle texture to the image.

I used the infill stamps to colour the butterflies, The largest in Melon Mambo, the smaller two in Bumblebee, 1st and 2nd generation ink. I coloured the leaves in using the Pool Party ink. I added them to the card base with Dimensionals.
