Here is a simple but gorgeous card made using the Beautiful Promenade stamp set with 2 of our new incolors – Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray.

 To recreate the In Color Beautiful Promenade card you will need;

Pretty Peacock 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner

Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – rounded upper right corner

A pretty, floral card using the To a Wild Rose Stamp set and coordinating Wild Rose dies by Stampin' Up!

To a Wild Rose

Here is a card made for our latest team challenge  – the theme of the challenge is ‘pre-order’. I chose to use the gorgeous ‘To a Wild Rose’ stamp set and co-ordinating Wild Rose dies which will be available for my online store from 4th June 2019.

 To recreate the To a Wild Rose card you will need;

Rococco Rose card base 5⅞” by 8¼” scored at 4⅛”

Merry Melot cardstock 5½” by 3¾”

Whisper White cardstock 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2

Merry Merlot 3 ¼” by 3 ¼”

Whisper White 3 ¼” by 3 ¼”

Scrap Whisper White for stamping and die cutting

The images in this gorgeous stamp set are triple layered. The first is an outline image, the second a more detailed image and the third a solid base layer. I randomly stamped the second layer image in Rococco Rose ink – I am loving this new in-color – onto one of the larger Whisper White layers. I really love the effect this gives.

This layer was added to the Merry Merlot panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and glued this to the front of a Rococco Rose card base.

I stamped the outline flower in Merry Merlot ink onto a scra of Whisper White cardstock. The second layer was stamped in 2nd generation Merry Merlot ink and the solid 3rd layer was added in 2nd generation Rococco Rose ink. I cut the flower out using the Big shot and the co-ordinating Wild Rose Dies.

The leaf is also made up of three stamp. The outline layer was stamped in Garden Green ink, the second layer in 2nd generation Garden Green ink and the third layer in 3rd generation Garden Green onto scrap Whisper White. I cut them out using the Wild Rose dies. The leaf was glued to the back of the rose using Mini Glue Dots.

The rose was added to the die cut circles on Dimensionals. The sentiment from the Wonderful Moments stamp set was stamped in Merry Merlot ink onto scrap Whisper White and trimmed out with scissors. It was added to the card front with the same liquid glue.

The baby wipe technique used to make a floral get well card

Beautiful Promenade/Baby wipe technique reprised

Here is another card made using the gorgeous Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the same handmade ink pad that I used for the blog hop earlier this week. I couldn’t help but try out another couple of things while the ink was still fresh.

To recreate the Beautiful Promenade card

Crumb Cake card base – 8½” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Gorgeous Grape 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – 1 for the inside and 1 for the outside – rounded upper left corners
Scrap Very Vanilla
Scrap Granny Apple Green

I made my own ink pad by folding a single baby wipe into a square and placing it in an empty clear mount stamp case. I took the Daffodil Delight re-inker and dropped about 12 – 15 drops randomly onto the baby wipe. I repeated this with the Poppy Parade re-inker and finally with Gorgeous Grape re-inker. The dots of ink should spread and merge together with no un-inked areas.

The baby wipe technique used to make a floral get well card

www.crafty-rootes.com -Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the baby wipe technique part 2

I stamped the outline of the flowers in Poppy Parade ink and Gorgeous Grape ink onto the scrap Very Vanilla cardstock.  I inked up the stripey inner portion of the flower on my homemade ink pad and stamped to fill in each flower. The flowers were then die cut using the Beautiful Layers dies and my Big Shot. Using the Leaf Punch I punched some leaves from the Granny Apple Green scrap cardstock.

The flowers were placed on one of the Very Vanilla panels and the leaves were tucked  behind the flowers with a dab of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The flowers were then added over the top on Dimensionals.

The baby wipe technique used to make a floral get well card

www.crafty-rootes.com -Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the baby wipe technique part 2

I stamped the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink onto the panel but messed it up and ended up stamping it on a scrap of Very Vanilla and gluing it over the top of the mess. Don’t you hate it when you do that!!!

The baby wipe technique used to make a floral get well card

www.crafty-rootes.com -Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the baby wipe technique part 2

The decorated panel was then added to the Gorgeous Grape panel with the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive then glued to the Crumb Cake card base. I added a trio of the Glitter Enamel Dots to complete the card front.

The baby wipe technique used to make a floral get well card

www.crafty-rootes.com -Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the baby wipe technique part 2

I had an extra stamped and die cut flower which I cut in half and added one half to the inner Very Vanilla panel and the other half to the Very Vanilla envelope.

I really love this technique. Hope you like the card.

Finally I die cut the small flowers in both Berry Burst cardstock and Coastal Cabana cardstock.

I added all the pieces to a layer of Whisper White cardstock, 5¼” by 3½” using either Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or Stampin Dimensionals. This decorated panel was layered onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” with Multipurpose glue. The whole topper was then added to a Berry Burst card base. I added a trio of Glitter Enamel Dots to add a little shine to the card.

A lovely floral card for the CAS Colour & Sketches #309 colour challenge using the Painted Seasons stamp set

CAS Colours & Sketches #309 – Painted Seasons

Today I am sharing a sweet card made for the CAS Colours and Sketches #309 Challenge. I used the gorgeous Painted Seasons stamp set, can’t seem to get enough of this set at the moment. The challenge this time asked us to create a project using Daffodil Delight, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz inks.

Making the CAS Colours & Sketches card

I began with a panel of Whisper White cardstock 5⅜” by 3⅝” and randomly stamped the 2 flowers, 1 in Daffodil Delight and the other in So Saffron ink. I then stamped 2 of the leaf images in 1st or 2nd generation Pear Pizzazz ink. The small cluster of stars were then randomly added in So Saffron ink. Basically I used the stamps to make my own dsp.

Using the Detailed Trio Punch I rounded the upper left corner and mounted the panel onto a piece of Basic Gray cardstock with a rounded upper left corner using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I then wrapped a length of Daffodil Delight Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The whole panel was then added to a Pear Pizzazz card base with a rounded upper left corner.

Using my Bigshot and the Doily Builder dies I cut out the ring doily from Whisper White cardstock. I only wanted the centre piece and added the detailed ring to my stash. I stamped the sentiment from the Forever lovely stamp set onto the centre die cut in Pear Pizzazz ink. I added a portion of one of the large flowers at the bottom of the die cut using Daffodil Delight ink. The piece was then mounted using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, onto a Basic Gray circle, cut using the Layering Circle dies. The sentiment was then added over the ribbon on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a Daffodil Delight ribbon bow using a Mini Glue Dot and glued on a scatter of Iridescent Sequins in yellow and green.

I stamped one of the flower images in Daffodil Delight ink and a leaf in Pear Pizzazz ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” and adhered it to the inside of the card having rounded the upper left corner. The same images were then stamped on the front of a Whisper White Envelope.
