Making the card

I started by taking a panel of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4⅝” by 2¾” and stamped the gorgeous large lily twice with Highland Heather ink. I added the stalks and leaves in Soft Sea Foam ink. I rounded the upper right corner with the Detailed Trio Punch and added it to a panel of Gorgeous Grape cardstock 4¾” by 2⅞” with a rounded corner.

I cut a strip of Gingham Gala dsp 5⅞” by 1” and added a small scalloped border punched using the Ribbon Border Punch and Highland Heather cardstock. I added the dsp to the left side of a Soft Sea Foam card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from the Lasting Lily stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink and die cut it using the pretty lozenge shaped die from the Needlepoint Elements dies passing it through the Big Shot twice to make the lozenge smaller. I threaded a piece of ⅛” Whisper White ribbon through the lozenge die cut and wrapped it around the stamped panel and added a bow.

GDP#174 challenge – Lasting Lily

Today I am sharing a card made for the Global Design Project (GDP#174) challenge which this week is a sketch. I found myself drawn yet again to the Lasting Lily stamp set for this project, I can’t seem to put this set down, it is gorgeous and FREE with a £90 order from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

Making the card

I chose to keep the oval from the sketch but changed the orientation making mine a portrait card instead of a landscape card. I die cut the largest stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies and stamped the large lily image from the Lasting Lily stamp set in Poppy Parade ink, this is a distINKtive stamp giving great dimension to the stamped image. I then added the stalk and leaf in Granny Apple Green ink. I had planned to leave the oval with just one flower but felt it looked a bit bare so added the smaller flower and stalk using the same ink.

Using the Big Shot and the Layering Ovals Framelit dies I cut out a slightly larger scalloped oval from Poppy Parade cardstock and adhered it to the stamped panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Taking the largest leaf image and a Granny Apple Green card base I stamped the leaf randomly across the bottom of the card front in Granny Apple Green ink. The oval piece was then added on Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Granny Apple Green and added it with glue and one end and dimensionals at the other. I then tucked some of the leaves from the gorgeous Butterfly Elements under the sentiment and the oval. To finish off the card front I added some of the Glitter Enamel Dots.

I stamped the small flower and stalk in the Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green ink onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the card. The same images were stamped onto a Whisper White envelope.

Lasting Lily

I have had my first play with the gorgeous new Lasting Lily stamp set. This is one of the Sale-a-Bration choices that you can get for free with a £90 order.

Making the card

I started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5⅛” by 3⅜”. I inked up the large lily with the Grapefruit Grove ink and stamped it onto the panel. The smaller lily was stamped in the same way. Next I inked up the stems with Garden Green ink which I stamped off once before stamping it onto the Whisper White panel.

I wrapped a piece of Braided Linen Trim around the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the back with Sellotape. The stamped panel was then glued to a piece of Wood Textures dsp measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝”.

The sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. I die cut the sentiment using my Big Shot and the Rectangle Stitched dies and added it to the Braided Linen Trim with Mini Glue Dots

Such a pretty stamp set. I hope you like the card.
