This card is the result of my first play with the Rejoice stamp set. I was aiming for a rustic look and used the Country Woods dsp to provide the illusion of the stable.

I created the rustic nativity card using the following supplies:
Hydrangea Hue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – one for the inside
Early Espresso – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Country Woods dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Scrap Basic White
I stamped the Nativity scene in the centre of the Country Woods dsp using Secret Sea ink. The wooden stable was the added with Early Espresso ink.

I used Blends Pens to colour in part of the image. Mary’s robe was coloured with Light & Dark Balmy Blue, with a Light Pecan Pie band around the sleeve. Her hair was coloured with Golden Glow, Light & Dark and the skin with Light Petal Pink.

For Joseph I used Light & Dark Pecan Pie for the robe with Light & Dark Hydrangea Hue for the trim. Ivory for the headdress and Light Petal Pink for the skin.

Jesus was wrapped in a Dark Hydrangea Hue blanket, and skin was coloured with Light Petal Pink.

A piece of Linen Thread was wrapped around one of the Basic White layers before it was glued to the Hydrangea Hue card front. The stamped panel was then glued to the piece of Early Espresso card which was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from my stash was stamped on scrap Basic White card with Early Espresso ink and trimmed down, cut down and added to the card.
A Linen Thread bow and a trio of Antique Pearls were added to finish the card.
