A Simply Simple stamped card made using the Perfectly Plaid stamp set

Perfectly Plaid – Simply Stamping

Here is a card made for the latest team challenge, the theme is Simple Stamping. I used the lovely Perfectly Plaid stamp set to make the card.

To Recreate the Simply Stamping card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Whisper White 5⅛” by 3½”

The tree was inked up in Shaded Spruce ink and stamped in the centre of the Whisper White panel. Without re-inking I stamped the image to the right and to the left of the first tree.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink below the trees. Prior to stamping the sentiment I had done a bit of stamp surgery, separating the ‘Christmas Cheer’ from the image.

The tree was stamped in the same ink inside the card and on the front of the envelope.

The panel was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I found this challenge really difficult, I was soooo tempted to add some bling and another layer.

Simply Simple Stamping

Today I am sharing a card made for the latest team challenge the theme of which ‘Simple Stamping’. This was much more difficult than I expected as we were only allowed to use stamps, ink and cardstock.

Making a Simple card

You will need;
Crumb Cake card base
Mango Melody 5½” by 3¾”
Very Vanilla 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Very Vanilla 5⅝” by 3⅞” – for the inside

I started with a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and a stamp set, in this case I chose the First Frost stamp set which has carried over from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.

I used Mossy Meadow and Mango Melody Markers to apply ink to the stamp, huffed on it to re-moisten the ink and stamped it onto the Very Vanilla cardstock. I really, really love this stamp it is so delicate and dainty looking and using markers is a great way to apply different colours of ink to the same stamp.

The sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and the stamped panel was added to the layer of Mango Melody cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

This was then glued to the Crumb Cake card base using the same adhesive. I added the other layer of Very Vanilla inside the card and used the same stamped image for this inside layer and for the envelope.

I really struggled not add embellishments to this card or round a corner…………but I really like the clean and simple look of the card. What do you think?
