Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects based on a colour challenge. I have made a masculine card using the Trusty Tools stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the colourful paintbrushes card, you will need:

Granny Apple Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Night of Navy card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

On the 5⅛” by 3⅜” panel of Basic White card I stamped the outline of 5 paintbrushes using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Using the co-ordinating Blends Pens, both light and dark, I coloured in the handles of the paintbrushes. The decorated layer was then adhered to the Night of Navy panel.

A length of 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The whole piece was then mounted onto the Granny Apple Green card base on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Artistically Inked stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Night of Navy card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. The ends were flagged and the strip was mounted over the twine on Dimensionals.

Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Cinnamon Cider – ⅛” strip

The trowel and spade from the Home & Garden stamp set, were stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink onto scrap Rich Razzelberry card. They were die cut using the Garden Dies. I also die cut the bottom of the spade and trowel and a hook from Silver card. The hook was glued to the Cinnamon Cider strip and the silver pieces to the spade and trowel.

Fantastic new stamp positioning tool by Stampin' Up!

The Stamparatus is coming……..

The Stamparatus – Stampin’ Up!’s new stamp positioning tool is coming soon and will be available to pre-order from 09.00pm on 16 November – 30 November – while stocks last and will be shipped out around the 1st February 2018. I am beyond excited about this and will definitely be reserving my Stamparatus as soon as I can. Click on this link to see how it works -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3teCr7Xo4G8&feature=youtu.be

Here’s why I want one;

  • It’s can be used with both red rubber and Photopolymer stamps
  • There is a foam mat to use with Photopolymer stamps
  • It has 2 open sides so you can stamp on larger paper and cardstock
  • It has integral rulers and grid lines for quick and easy measuring. Please note that the UK version will be metric only
  • It has 2 reversible plates making a total of 4 surfaces to work with. This means endless possibilities with 2, 3 or even 4 step stamping.
  • Both plates can simply be unhinged and moved down making it much easier to stamp a line of the same image or a repeating patter.
  • 2 bar magnets included to hold the paper in place and there is an area underneath the Stamparatus to store the magnets
