No Dinos card

Here is a quirky card made using the Darling Dinos stamp set and the Perennial Postage Dies. I love stamp sets with lots of small images, they are so versatile and such fun to create with.

To recreate the no dinos card, you will need:

Basic Beige card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Secret Sea card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic Beige card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White and Secret Sea card

 

Using the Perennial Postage Dies I die cut several of the smaller rectangles from scrap Basic White card.

I roughly laid the die cut rectangles out on the panel of Basic Beige to see how they would best fit. Some of the rectangles were cut down to make them shorter or thinner.

All of the images from the Darling Dinos stamp set were stamped on the rectangles with Secret Sea ink and coloured them in using the following Blends Pens – Strawberry Slush, Darling Duckling, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie, Dark Naturals & Secret Sea. The decorated rectangles were then added to the Basic Beige panel on Dimensionals.

The small heart image was stamped in Basic Beige in the small gaps before the whole panel was glued to the Secret Sea layer. I then adhered it to the Basic Beige card front.

The sentiment, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto a scrap of Secret Sea card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I trimmed it down and added it to the card front.

Here is a pretty card perfect for a man in your life and made using the Twisted in Time stamp set and the Textured Notes Dies.

To recreate the twisted in time card you will need:

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Garden Green card – 4⅞” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3½”
Basic White card – 1¾” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

 

From the 5” by 3½” panel of Basic White card I die cut a rectangle using the Textured Notes Dies.

Using Early Espresso ink, I stamped the tree trunk onto the die cut rectangle. I added the canopy with Garden Green ink and stamped the leaves with Mossy Meadow ink.

The rocks from the Darling Dinos stamp set were stamped in Gray Granite ink and coloured them in using the Gray Granite Blends Pens. The ‘grass’ from the same stamp set was added in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Granny Apple Green ink.

I used the ‘water’ image from the Scenic Adventure stamp set to bring the grass down to the bottom of the die cut piece. I added Cloud Cover ink with a Blending Brush to give some colour to the sky. The whole piece was glued to the Garden Green panel before being added to the Gray Granite card front on Dimensionals.

Kintsugi Inspiring Imperfections Classes

Today I am sharing the cards I designed for my August classes using the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set and dies with the Kintsugi Inspirations dsp.

Faux Step Card

Misty Moonlight card base – 8” by 5½” – scored at 1”, 2” & 5” on long side
Misty Moonlight card – 6” by 3” scored at 4¼”
Misty Moonlight – 5⅜” by 2⅝” – embossed with the Glass and Garden Embossing Folder
Basic White – 5⅜” by ⅞”
Kintsugi Inspirations dsp – 5¼” by ¾”
Cloud Cover – 4” by 3”
Basic White – 3⅞” by 2⅞”
Basic White – 2” by ¾” – banner cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies
Basic White – 5¼” by 2⅞” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White

 

Fold the Misty Moonlight card base, mountain, valley and mountain then adhere the embossed panel to the larger part of the folded card front.

Glue the strip of Kintsugi Inspirations dsp to the 5⅜” by ⅞” piece of Basic White card and adhere to the smaller front fold of the card base.

On scrap Basic White card stamp the vase and the bowl with Misty Moonlight ink and die cut. Colour the flowers with Petal Pink Stamp ‘n Write Marker. Colour the inside of the vase and bowl and the base of the bowl with the Cloud Cover Marker.

The larger ‘crack’ was stamped onto the 3⅞” by 2⅞” piece of Basic White card using Versamark ink, covered it with Gold Embossing Powder and set it using a Heat Tool. The embossed piece was then glued to the Cloud Cover panel and then to the 6” by 3” piece of Misty Moonlight card. The vase and the bowl were then glued in position.

Glue was added to the bottom half of the back part of the 6” by 3” piece of Misty Moonlight card. This was then glued to the back of the main card base. A little glue adhered the front flap to the 1” panel of the card front.

The sentiment, from the retired Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink onto the die cut label and added to the card front.

The thin strip of Basic White card was glued along one edge of the strip of dsp. The whole piece was then glued to the Petal Pink card front.

The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink in the lower right corner of the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card. The panel was then adhered to the Misty Moonlight layer and added to the Petal Pink card front. The gold die cut small flower was slipped under the upper right corner.

The vase, bowl and flower were stamped on scrap Basic White card with Misty Moonlight ink. The images were coloured with the Petal Pink and Cloud Cover Marker and the die cut crack added to the vase which was then glued to the card front. The bowl and flower were added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The small floral image was stamped in the upper left and lower right corner of the Cloud Cover card front with Cloud Cover ink.

The vase was randomly stamped all over the 4⅜” by 2⅞” piece of Basic White card with Misty Moonlight ink. The panel was then glued to the Misty Moonlight layer and a Gold Foil triangle added to the upper left and lower right corners. The whole piece was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Striped Abloom Card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects made using paper strips. I have made my card using the Mediterranean Blooms and Country Lace designer series paper (dsp) with the Everyday Arches Dies.

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the striped abloom card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Night of Navy card -5¼” by 4”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¾”
Mediterranean Blooms dsp – ⅜” strips of different lengths
Country Lace dsp – ⅜” strips of different lengths
Night of Navy card – 2” by ⅜”
Scrap Basic White card

 

I began by applying a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the panel of Basic White card measuring 5” by 3¾”. Starting in the centre I added the strips of dsp, at an angle to the panel, butting the strips up against each other.

When the sheet was fully covered, I used the third largest die from the Everyday Arches to die cut an arch. The next size up die was used to cut an arch from the Night of Navy card. The two arches were then glued together and added to the Thick Basic White card front with glue.

From scrap Basic White card, I die cut and embossed the daisy flower using the Impressions Abloom Dies, I also die cut the leafy spray.

With Night of Navy ink, I stamped the flower centre and added shape to the flower using a Bone Folder. The flower was added to the card front on a Dimensional. I cut the leafy sprig apart and added the leaves on either side of the flower.

The sentiment, from the Loveliest Tree stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Night of Navy card, covered it with White Embossing Powder which I set with my Heat Tool. I added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

Today I am sharing a pretty anniversary card made using the Feathered Fun stamp set and the Glass & Garden Embossing Folder.

Using the Glass and Garden Embossing Folder, I embossed the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card and adhered it to the panel of Secret Sea card. The whole piece was then glued to the Azure Afternoon card front.

I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the image – Lemon Lolly, Flirty Flamingo, Fresh Freesia and Azure Afternoon. I then fussy cut the image out.

From the square of Basic White card I die cut a stitched circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I also die cut a banner from the piece of Azure Afternoon card. The birds were adhered to the die cut circle and then mounted onto the card front with the die cut banner behind.

Summer Sailing Card – Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are having ‘fun in the sun’. I have chosen to make my card using the Sunrise Sailing stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the summer sailing card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2
Basic Black card – 4½” by 2½”

 

Using the largest stitched square from the Stylish Shapes Dies I die cut a square near the top of one of the panels of Basic White card. I laid the die cut stitched square to one side and placed the negative panel over the remaining panel of the same side, holding it in place with tape from my stash.

A 1” Circle was punched from a Post It note and added it in the upper third of the die cut hole to create a sun.

I added Azure Afternoon ink with a Blending Brush along the bottom third of the die cut hole. Coastal Cabana ink was then brushed onto the upper two thirds over the masked moon. I stamped the ‘water across the inked square in 1st and 2nd generation Azure Afternoon ink. The mask was then removed, and a little Lemon Lolly ink was added to the colour the sun. The two panels were then separated.

The sentiment, from the Cheers & Sips stamp set was added in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Using the same ink I also stamped a bird in the upper right corner of the inked area.

From the Basic Black card I die cut the boat and sails using the Sunrise Sailing Dies. I glued the pieces together and mounted the boat onto the inked panel using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Prairie Grass Card

Here is a clean and simple card, made using the pretty Prairie Grass stamp set and the Thoughtful Journey designer series paper.

Colours in this project are:

 

To recreate the prairie grass card, you will need:

Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Thoughtful Journey dsp – 5¼” by 1¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside

 

I placed the strip of Thoughtful Journey designer series paper (dsp) onto the piece of Basic White measuring 5¼” by 3½”.

The largest grassy image was stamped in Secret Sea ink, onto the panel, partially on and partially off the dsp.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I adhered the dsp to the stamped panel lining up the image.

Scenic Bauble Cards – Christmas Stampathon

Here are my cards made for the August Christmas Stampathon where our theme is ‘Baubles’. I have made my cards using the Scenic Adventure stamp set and Bauble Blooms Dies.

Colours used to make these cards are:

 

To recreate the scenic bauble card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Shaded Spruce card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Balmy Blue card – 5” by 3¼”
Scrap Basic White, Shaded Spruce and Silver Foil card

 

Using Balmy Blue ink, I stamped the large Falling Snow stamp on the piece of Balmy Blue card. The stamped piece was then glued to the Shaded Spruce panel.

The pine tree, from the Scenic Adventure stamp set, was stamped onto the die cut bauble with Shaded Spruce ink, first and second generation. I added the ground using the ‘watery’ image from the same stamp set with Cloud Cover ink.

I used a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink to add colour around the die cut bauble and stamped the ‘dotty’ image, from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set in the same ink.

Silver bauble hangers were added; these were die cut from scrap Silver Foil. I added a little Silver Trim to the hanger of the bauble using a rolled up Mini Glue Dot and taped the other end of the silver trim to the back of the Shaded Spruce card. The bauble was secured in place with Dimensionals. The whole panel was adhered to the Thick Basic White card front.

The sentiment from the Tractor & Co stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Shaded Spruce card. I covered it with Silver Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool before adding it to the card front.

Water Colour Cocktails Card

Here is a pretty water coloured cocktail card made using the Cheers & Sips stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the water colour cocktails card, you will need:

Strawberry Slush card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 4⅜” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 4¾” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Fluid 100, Old Olive card & Basic Black

 

I used the cocktail umbrella image to stamp in the upper left and lower left corners of the Strawberry Slush card base using Strawberry Slush ink.

From scrap Fluid 100 card I die cut the large and small glasses using the Cheers & Sips dies. I added colour to the die cut pieces using a Water Painter and Strawberry Slush or Lemon Lime Twist ink and set them aside to dry.

Using the Textured Notes dies I die cut a rectangle from the 4¾” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card. I stamped the watery image from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set along the bottom of the die cut rectangle and then added Balmy Blue ink to the top of the panel with a Blending Brush. This piece was then adhered to the Basic Black layer and then to the card front.

I stamped the leaves in either Granny Apple Green or Garden Green ink where the top of the glasses were to be placed. The glasses were then added to the panel with Mini Glue Dots.

I stamped three olives in Old Olive ink onto Old Olive card and die cut them before adding them to the card front disguise a couple of smudges! A cocktail umbrella, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Fluid 100 was die cut and added over some excess glue……..it was that kind of day…..

Floral Spotlight Card – Stamping Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inspirations Blog Hop where we are showcasing the spotlight technique. I have made my card using the Mixed Florals stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the spotlight on florals card, you will need:

Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Fresh Freesia card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Secret Sea card – 1¾” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

Using the large floral image, I stamped in the upper left and lower right corners of the Soft Sea Foam card base with Soft Sea Foam ink. I set this aside to dry.

Using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder I embossed the Fresh Freesia panel.

The large floral image was then stamped onto the 5” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card with Secret Sea ink. Using a 1¾” Circle Punch I punched out part of the image. The stamped panel was then adhered to the Fresh Freesia embossed panel and then to the Soft Sea Foam card front.

I coloured the punched-out part of the image using the following Blends Pens – Lemon Lolly, Fresh Freesia and Soft Sea Foam. The punched part was then repositioned into the stamped panel but raised up on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Twisted In Time stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Secret Sea card, I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. I trimmed it down and angled the end before adding it to the card front on Dimensionals.
