Paper Pieced Leafy Spray – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Stamping with Friends Blog Hop – 1

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on. When I saw the Petals of Beauty Dies, especially the large leafy die, my immediate thought was ‘paper piecing’ and that is what I have used to make my card.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the paper pieced leafy spray card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Secret Sea card – 4⅞” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 4”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Fresh Freesia, Berry Burst, Pool Party & Secret Sea

Using the Textured Notes Dies, I die cut a decorated rectangle from the 5¼” by 4” panel of basic White card.

I die cut the leafy spray from scrap pieces of Fresh Freesia, Berry Burst, Pool Party & Secret Sea using the large die from the Petals of Beauty dies. A Take Your Pick Tool was used to free all the pieces from the die, one colour at a time, taking care to keep the leaves in the correct position.

The Secret Sea outline leafy die cut was then adhered to the die cut Basic White rectangle. At this point I realised it would have been a lot easier if I had adhered double sided adhesive sheet to the back of each scrap piece…….. don’t you love hindsight!

Pop-up Petals Notecard – Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are being inspired by a roll of the dice showing ‘In-colors, sponging, birthdays, staple and notecard vertical’. I have chosen to make my note card using the Pop-up Petals stamp set which will be available in my online store from November 2025.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the pop-up petals notecard, you will need:

Notecard – 5” by 7” scored at 3½”
Cloud Cover card – 4⅞” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3⅛”
Basic White card – 2¼” by ⅜”
Secret Sea card – 2¼” by ⅜”

The panel of Cloud Cover card was embossed using the Damask Designs Embossing Folder. A length of Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the embossed layer before the whole piece was adhered to the front of the notecard.

From the 4¼” by 3⅛” piece of Basic White card I die cut a label using the Branching Out Dies.

On the die cut label I stamped the vase in Strawberry Slush ink. The top of the vase was masked off using a Post It note, and the outline bunch of sunflowers stamped with Secret Sea ink. The mask was removed, and the infill petals were stamped with Darling Duckling ink. I added the flower centres using 2nd generation Secret Sea ink and coloured the leaves with Shy Shamrock Blends Pens.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Cloud Cover ink around all four edges of the die cut label and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Spring Corners stamp set was stamped in Secret Sea Ink onto the small strip of Basic White card. I stapled the stamped sentiment to the strip of Secret Sea card and added it to the card front.

Tractor & Co Pop-Up Inner Step Card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are showcasing something we have been working on. I am sharing a pop-up inner step card made using the Tractor & Co stamp set and dies. This card was inspired by Creative Moments by G

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the tractor & co pop-up inner step card you will need:

Blueberry Bushel card base – 11” by 4⅛” – scored at 5½” on the long side
Basic White inner liner – 10½” by 3⅞” – scored at 4¼”, 5¼” and 6¼” on the long side
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3⅞”
Country Woods dsp – 5⅛” by 3¾”
Country Woods dsp – 4⅛” by 3¾”
Country Woods dsp – 3 ¾” by ⅞” x 2
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 2”
Darling Duckling card – 3⅞” by ¼” x 2
Basic White card – 1⅝” by ¼”
Scrap Basic White card

Glue the largest panel of Country Woods designer series paper (dsp) to the 5¼” by 3⅞” panel of Basic White card. This was then adhered down to the front of the Blueberry Bushel card front.

Fold and burnish the inner layer – with the centre fold up (valley, mountain, valley) and glue the ⅞” strips of dsp to the popped up 1” sections. Add the remaining dsp panel to the left side of the inner liner.

Add glue to the back of the larger panel, the one without the dsp. Place down on the back, inside panel of the Blueberry Bushel card base with the same border around the bottom, left and right sides and adhere in place. Apply glue to the back of the other large panel and close the card base securing the whole piece in place.

Emboss the 3⅞” by 2” piece of Basic White card and the strips of Darling Duckling card. The Basic White and one of the Darling Duckling panels were added to the card front. The remaining Darling Duckling strip was added to the inner layer of the card.

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped all the tractor and trailer pieces using Blueberry Bushel and Secret Sea Ink. The Pumpkins were inked up with Pumpkin Pie ink and Cajun Craze ink added with a Sponge Dauber. These were also stamped on scrap Basic White card. I die cut everything using the Tractor & Co Dies. The pieces were glued together. The tractor was mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals and the trailer full of pumpkins added to the pop-up step inside the card.
