To recreate the mixed floral Easter card, you will need:

Garden Green card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Fluid 100 card – 5” by 3¼”
Garden Green card – 3 ½” by 1”
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I stamped the tulip image in Pebbled Path ink onto the panel of Fluid 100 card.

The leaves were coloured with a Garden Green Watercolor Pencil and again smoothed out with my Water Painter. The whole panel was adhered to the Garden Green layer. A length of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the bottom of the panel, secured on the back and added the layer to the Flirty Flamingo card base on Dimensionals.

The large floral image was stamped on scrap Basic White card in Pebbled Path ink. I used the stencils and Blending Brushes to add colour to the image. The image was then die cut using the Layers of Beauty Dies.

Corner In Bloom card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are using Stampin’ Write Markers to make our project. I have used a pretty new stamp set called Corner In Bloom to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the corner in bloom card, you will need:

Pretty in Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Gray card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic Gray card – 4” by 3⅜” – Rounded upper left and lower right corners
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 3½”– Rounded upper left and lower right corners
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

The 5½” by 3¾” layer of Basic White card was embossed using the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder before being glued to the larger Basic Gray panel. I wrapped a piece of Fresh Freesia Seam Binding Ribbon around the panel before gluing it to the Pretty in Pink card base.

Seagull Step card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Stamping with Friends Blog Hop – 1

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing step cards. I have used the Friendly Seagulls stamp set – can’t seem to get enough of this set, to make my card. This card was inspired by Teri Pocock

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the seagull step card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 8¼” by 5½”
Bloom Impressions dsp – 5⅜” by 4⅛”
Pebbled Path card – 3⅛” by 2 ½”
Basic White card – 3” by 2⅜”
Basic White card – 2½” by ½”
Scrap Basic White card

With the short side of the Thick Basic White card at the top and the left side lined up at 2 ¾” I cut a slit from 1¾” to 7½” – down the centre of the card.

I wanted my ‘steps’ on the left side of the card to accommodate the birds who are looking right I adapted Teri’s scoring instructions. With the long side of the card base at the bottom of my Trimmer I scored, up to the central cut, at 1¾”, 3½”, 5, 6½” & 7½”. Rotating the base to the opposite long side I scored at 4¼”. I folded the single central fold inwards. The folds on the right side were then folded in concertina fashion.

Placing the long side of the Bloom Impressions dsp on my Trimmer I cut down from the top to ⅞”, turned the panel to the short side and cut at ⅞” to the meet the other cut. The excess panel was removed and 2 pieces cut from it at 2⅝” by 1⅜” and 2⅝” by 1⅝”. All 3 panels of dsp were then adhered to the Thick Basic White card front.

The chip stealing seagull was stamped onto the 3” by 2⅜” piece of Basic White card in Pebbled Path ink. I added the ‘sand’ across the bottom and the birds in flight at the top using the same ink. A Blending Brush was used to add Azure Afternoon ink around the top and sides of the panel. The bird was coloured with dark Daffodil Delight and light and dark Smoky Slate Blends Pens. The chips were coloured with light Crumb Cake and light Lemon Lolly Blends Pens, the light Lemon Lolly was also used to add colour to the sand. The whole panel was glued to the Pebbled Path layer and the whole piece was glued to the card front.
