A framed occasions card made for the Ink. Stamp. Share colour challenge Blog Hop using the Framed Occasions stamp set and Beautiful Shapes Dies by Stampin' Up!

Occasion Framed card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we have a colour challenge. We were asked to create something using 3 of the following 5 colours:

I couldn’t pick just 3, I mean which 3 would you choose?……..so….. I used them all + Basic White to create an occasion framed card.

To recreate the occasion framed card, you will need:

Thick Basic White care base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Design A Daydream dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Polished Pink card – Smidgeon under 5” by smidgeon under 3¼”
Basic White card – 4⅞ by 3⅛”
Scrap Basic White card

The layer of Design A Daydream designer series paper (dsp) was glued to the Thick Basic White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the hexagonal frame in Blackberry Bliss ink onto the scrap Basic White card an added the sentiment in Tahitian Tide ink. This was then die cut using the Beautiful Shapes dies.

The die was then placed on the panel of Basic White card and using a pencil, I drew lightly around the inside. This helps when positioning the stamped images.

Th flowers were stamped first in Polished Pink ink, I always like to stamp the larger images first. The leafy sprig was then stamped in Parakeet Party, the outer image in full strength and the infill image in 2nd generation ink.

The smaller sprig was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink, the long thin, sprig added in Parakeet Party and finally, the trio of dots in Tahitian Tide. The pencil lines were then erased and the stamped panel added to the Polished Pink layer.

The flower and leaf sprig were stamped in Early Espresso ink onto scarp Very Vanilla card and coloured in using Real Red, Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake Blends Pens. I then die cut the images using the Cottage Flower Dies. I trimmed away the spriggy stems from the flower stamp, curved the flower image using a Bone Folder and added the images to the scalloped rectangle with a dab of liquid glue.

Autumnal Tree card for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we have no theme and can choose anything we like to share. I have chosen a pretty Autumnal tree card made with the Beauty of Friendship stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Autumnal Tree card, you will need:

Cherry Cobbler card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Sun Prints dsp – 5½” by 3¾” ⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Cherry Cobbler card – 4⅞” by 3⅓” ⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Basic White card – 4¾” by 3” ⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” ⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners – for the inside
Basic White card – ⅜” strip

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the piece of Sun Prints dsp to the Cherry Cobbler card base.

I inked the skeleton tree with Gray Granite, only the trunk and lower branches and stamped it onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. The ground was stamped in 2nd generation Gray Granite ink.

I used the tiny splatter image in Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler ink to add texture to the tree canopy and falling to the ground. The stamped panel was added to the Cherry Cobbler panel. I added a bow made from the Gray Granite Ribbon in the upper right- hand corner securing the ends on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then mounted onto the card front.

The sentiment was stamped on the strip of Basic White card in Pear Pizzazz ink and trimmed it out with Scissors. A trio of Red Rhinestones completed the card.
