We ran one of the Basic White panels through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. A length of Pool Party Ribbon was wrapped around the layer before it was glued to the Old Olive card front.

We added Pool Party ink to the die cut Circle using a Blending Brush.  Two trees were then stamped onto the circle, the solid background in Garden Green and the detailed image in Evening Evergreen. The circle was then adhered to the card front.

The large and small trees were die cut from scrap Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Garden Green & Evening Evergreen card. They were glued together and added to the card front n Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of Basic White card in Evening Evergreen ink. We trimmed it down and flagged the ends with scissors. It was then added to the card front.

A trio of rustic pine cone and spruce sprigs themed Christmas cards made using Stampin' Up! products

Christmas Pinecones Classes

Today I am sharing the cards made for my November classes featuring the gorgeous Christmas Pinecones Dies. I don’t know about you, but I looked at the large intricate dies and wondered how I could use them ….. other then the obvious – die cut, add to the card front and slap a sentiment in the middle. I wanted to show my ladies the versatility of cutting the die cut piece apart.

Colours used in this project are:

The first thing we did was to die cut the large detailed foliage die from a ¼ sheet of Garden Green card. This is the piece that we cut apart and used on all our cards.

We always start with the fiddliest, most complicated card first, the idea being that we get this over while we are still concentrating!!

We embossed panel the narrow Garden Green panel using the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine and one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders and added it to the smaller front flap of the Soft Succulent card base. The Gold Foil strip was then butted up to it.

We used either the pinecone or sprig to decorate the large Basic White panel and glued it to the inside of the card

We added glue to the left-hand side of the Crumb Cake scalloped rectangle – which I had cut ahead of time using the Scalloped Contour Dies, and added it to the left flap of the card base.

The sentiment, from the Christmas to Remember stamp set was stamped in Garden Green   onto the white card, die cut using one of the labels from the Seasonal Labels dies and add to the Crumb Cake panel on Dimensionals.

The detailed pinecone (gold) and Soft Suede pinecone base – cut by me ahead of time using the Seasonal Labels Dies, were glued together then and added to the label front with glue and/or dimensionals.

We then snipped apart the foliage from the large die cut and tucked sprigs behind the pinecones.

We embossed the Soft Succulent panel as above and added the panel to the smaller Basic White layer and added the strip of Gold Foil to the side. This piece was then mounted on the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped on the label, which I had die cut ahead of time and added to the card front on Dimensionals.

We assembled the die cut pinecones and added then with sprigs of foliage behind the label.

Lovely penguin themed Christmas cards for the October 2021 classes

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Penguin Place stamp set, Penguin Builder Punch and Penguin Playmates dsp used for October Classes

Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Wintry 3D embossing folder we embossed one of the Basic White panels.

We cut a strip of dsp – 5½” by 1” and glued it to strip of Be Dazzling paper before adding it to the embossed panel with glue.

The whole piece was added to the Misty Moonlight card base with Dimensionals.

We fussy cut out a cute penguin from the dsp using sharp scissors and added it to the card front with glue.

The sentiment was stamped on the strip of white card, the ends were flagged and the strip added to the card front. We added a trio of Champagne Rhinestones to finish the card.

We stamped the card front in Polished Pink ink.

The small Basic White panel was run through the Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine with the Bricks & Mortar Embossing Folder and was then adhered to the Evening Evergreen panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. We wrapped a piece of Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon around the panel before adding it to the card base on Dimensionals.

We die cut the flower from scrap Basic White card and added ink using Sponge Daubers. The flower was then added to the card front with the liquid glue.

The sentiment was stamped in Polished Pink ink onto scrap Basic White card and was punched out using the Double Oval Punch. We punched a Polished Pink oval as a backing and added it to the card front with glue.

Finally, we added a bow and a trio of 2021 – 2023 In Color Jewels.

We stamped the script image in 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation Soft Succulent ink randomly all over one of the Basic White panels then added some speckles in 1st and 2nd generation Fresh Freesia ink randomly over the same panel.  The panel was glued to the front of the Evening Evergreen card front.

Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies we die cut a rectangle from the Evening Evergreen panel. The speckles were stamped in Evening Evergreen ink onto the corners of the frame and the frame was mounted onto the Evening Evergreen card front.

We die cut a selection of flowers from scrap Basic White card using the Meadow dies and coloured them using Blending Brushes. The flowers were added with glue and/or Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink onto scrap Basic White, trimmed and added to the card front.

We added jewels to the flower centres to complete the card.

We stamped the speckled image in all 4 corners of the Fresh Freesia card base in Fresh Freesia ink.

Taking a blending brush, we added Whisper White ink to the centre of the Evening Evergreen panel to create a halo effect.

Taking the Scalloped Contour Dies I die cut a scalloped border from the Basic White strip 4½” by 1½” and glued the border to the back of the Evening Evergreen piece. The whole panel was added to the Fresh Freesia card front on Dimensionals

We die cut some flowers and used Water Painters to add ink to them. They were then added to the card front with liquid glue.
