Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing cards celebrating friendship. I have gone a bit rogue with this one and thought I would try my hand at reverse hot foiling – one small problem, my reverse die hasn’t yet arrived, so I improvised with interesting results.
Colours used to make this card are:
I created the rustic garden silhouette card using the following supplies:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored on the long-side at 4⅛”
Secret Sea – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White – 5” by 3¼”
Light Pink Foil
Scrap Secret Sea
I had previously used the Hot Foil System with the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil dies and Light Pink Foil make a card and had kept the negative piece of foiling to use for something else.

As my Reverse Hot Foiling Plate hasn’t arrived, I decided to try using the back of the Buffalo Check Hot Foil die and the panel of Basic White card.

The result wasn’t quite what I hoped for as the foiling proved very patchy. I suspect the Buffalo Check die isn’t quite as thick as the Reverse Foil die……..lesson learned. Howver, I quite liked the rustic effect and decided to go with it by distressing the edges of the foiled white piece using Detailed Scissors.

The reverse foiled piece was then adhered to the Secret Sea panel which was mounted onto the Thick Basic White card front on Dimensionals.

I used a hot foiled sentiment, made using the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Die and the same Light Pink Foil and added it to the card front to finish my card.
