Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are showcasing some of the product from the upcoming May – August 2026 catalogue. I have chosen to make a card using the pretty Garden Gatherings stamp set and co-ordinating dies.
I created the garden gathering card using the following supplies:
Granny Apple Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side Pretty Peacock – 4⅞” by 3⅛” Basic White – 4¾” by 3” Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside Scrap Season of Elegance dsp
Using one of the floral images I randomly stamped around all four sides of the Granny Apple Green card base with Granny Apple Green ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Garden Gathering stamp set and co-ordinating dies used to make a pretty birthday card
I die cut a vase using the Garden Gathering dies from a scrap piece of Season of Elegance designer series paper. I placed it in position on the smaller panel of Basic White card and lightly drew around it with a pencil. This will help me to stamp the flowers so that they will appear to be inside the vase.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Garden Gathering stamp set and co-ordinating dies used to make a pretty birthday card
I stamped two stems with Granny Apple Green ink using the pencil outline of the vase as a guide. The tiny flower clusters were then added with Poppy Parade ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Garden Gathering stamp set and co-ordinating dies used to make a pretty birthday card
The pencil lines were then erased and the die cut vase glued into position. A ‘ground’ image, from the Extraordinary Flora stamp set was then stamped under the vase with Gray Granite ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Garden Gathering stamp set and co-ordinating dies used to make a pretty birthday card
The sentiment was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink, one word at a time using a simple masking technique. The stamped panel was then glued to the Pretty Peacock layer which was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Garden Gathering stamp set and co-ordinating dies used to make a pretty birthday card

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped the vases, one in Gorgeous Grape and the other in Pecan Pie. The three flowers and butterfly were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the scrap Basic White card, and all the images were die cut using the co-ordinating Pop-up Petals Dies. I used the following Blends Pens to add colour to the image – Highland Heather, Soft Sea Foam & Old Olive.

Using the Textured Notes dies I die cut a decorated rectangle from the 4½” by 3” piece of Basic White card. The vases, flowers and butterfly were then arranged on the die cut rectangle using either liquid adhesive or Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment, having masked off the portion I didn’t want, in Gorgeous Grape ink onto scrap Basic White card. I trimmed it out and added it to the card front.
