Clear Block Leaves Card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects using the clear block technique. I have made my card using the gorgeous Elegant Leaves stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the clear block leaves card using the following supplies:

Cherry Cobbler card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Secret Sea – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap – Secret Sea

I pressed clear block B onto the Daffodil Delight inkpad, covering the whole surface with ink. I lifted the inked block up and spritzed the inky side a couple of times with water and placed it onto the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White card leaving it for a minute or so to allow the ink to transfer.

I cleaned the block and repeated the steps, firstly with Cherry Cobbler ink and then with Shaded Spruce ink allowing each colour to overlap another.

When the inky rectangles were dry I inked up and stamped the detailed image of each of the 3 leaves, one in each inked rectangle. The decorated panel was then adhered to the Secret Sea panel before being added to the Cherry Cobbler card front on Dimensionals.

Using the Hot Foil System and the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies I foil the sentiment with Gold Foil and die cut it out. I added it to the card front with a little liquid glue.
