Elegant Leaves Card – Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we have a sketch to inspire us today. I have used the Elegant Leaves stamp set and Mixed Up Patterns dsp to make my card.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the elegant leaves card using the following supplies:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Mixed Up Patterns dsp – 5½” by ⅞”
Mixed Up Patterns dsp – 4¼” by 2½”
Basic White – 2½” by 2½” – for the inside
Scrap Old Olive

The long, thin strip of Mixed Up Patterns dsp was glued to one of the 5½” by 3¾” of Basic White card. The panel was then glued to the Old Olive card front.

I stamped the outline of my chosen leaf with Early Espresso ink, twice onto the square of Basic White card.

The infill leaf image was added in 2nd generation Daffodil Delight ink. I added Old Olive ink to the infill stamp using a Sponge Dauber and added it to the stamped images. The square was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Begonia Belle stamp set was stamped on scrap Old Olive card with Early Espresso ink. I inked up each word individually and stacked them one on top of the other. I punched out the sentiment using the 1¼” Circle Punch and added it to the card front.
