Festive Santa Card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Stamping with Friends Blog Hop – 1

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are being inspired by a sketch. I have made my card using the gorgeous new Festive Friends stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the festive Santa card, you will need:

Smoky Slate card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Country Lace dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Secret Sea card – 3⅝” by 2⅝”
Basic White card – 3⅜” by 2⅜”
Poppy Parade card – 5⅜” by ¾”
Balmy Blue card – 4⅝” by ¾”

The piece of Country Lace dsp was adhered to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card. This was then glued to the Smoky Slate card base.

I flagged the end of the Poppy Parade and Balmy Blue strips of card and glued them to the left side of the card front.

The Santa was stamped in Secret Sea ink onto the small piece of Basic White card. I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the image – Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate and Secret Sea.

I added ‘ground’ using a light Smoky Slate Blends Pen and stamped the pretty snowflakes from the Woodland Scenery stamp set all over the panel in Balmy Blue ink. The decorated panel was then adhered, at an angle, to the Secret Sea panel. The whole piece was mounted on the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment on the card front with Secret Sea ink.

A trio of Adhesive-backed Peppermints from my stash finished the card.
