Snowman That-a-Way card

This adorable snowman that-a-way card was inspired by a video made by the Tatted Stamper showcasing the ‘that-a-way’ fun fold and I just had to try it using the pretty snowman from the Festive Friends stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the snowman that-a-way card, you will need:

Thick Basic Card Base – 11½” by 4” – scored at 5¼”
Beautiful Bokeh dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White and Granny Apple Green

With a pencil, lightly mark the card front at 2” on the short side then cut from the 2” mark to the centre scoreline on the right. Repeat the cut on the left side to leave a pointed card front. Place the 2 cut pieces together, face down, to form a triangle and use Sellotape to adhere the pieces together.

With a pencil, lightly mark the dsp panel at 1⅞” on the short side then cut from the mark to the centre scoreline on the right, repeat the cut on the left side. This will give 1 large triangle and 2 small triangles.

Glue the large triangle to the pointed card front. Place the 2 smaller pieces together, face down, to form a triangle and use Sellotape to adhere the pieces together.

Open the card and place the unattached triangle on the inside with the bottom of the triangle lined up with the right-hand end of the card, dsp side facing upwards. Add glue where the panels over-lap and close the card to adhere together

I die cut 2 trees from scrap Granny Apple Green and glued them to the centre of the card front then added the snowman on Dimensionals. The tiny trio of snowflakes from the Woodland Scenery stamp set were stamped above the snowman on the dsp using balmy Blue ink.

The sentiment was created using the Christmas Words Hybrid Embossing Filder and Die. Whilst it was still in the die I ran over it with a Sponge Dauber and Balmy Blue ink. The sentiment was the added to the card front. A trio of Iridescent Faceted Gems finished the card.
