Bright Leaves for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

May be an image of text that says "Stamp 'n Hop Current Stampin' Up!® Only OCTOBER Mini Catalogue"

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Mini Catalogue’. My favourite stamp set at the moment is the beautiful Gorgeous Leaves, any one who knows me knows I am a sucker for leaf sets……….don’t know what it is about them, just love leaves.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the bright leaves card, you will need:

Polished Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Merry Merlot card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 3¼” by 3¼”
Merry Merlot card – 3¼” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside

I decided on which size circle die I was going to use for my sentiment and where I was going to position the sentiment on the card – then I drew round the inside of the die lightly with a pencil. This means I know where I need to position my images.

Using the large speckled stamp, I stamped around the pencil line in 2nd generation Blushing Bride. I just wanted a little of this colour in the background.

I then added the other leaves one colour at a time starting with the largest in Merry Merlot ink. Next came Polished Pink ink then Smoky Slate ink.

The tiny flowers were stamped in Basic Gray or Merry Merlot, I inked up one flower at a time. The stamp panel was then adhered to the Merry Merlot panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon was wrapped around both panels and secured on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then glued to the Polished Pink card front with the liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Biggest Wish stamp set was stamped in Basic Gray ink onto a circle die cut from the square of Basic White card using my chosen size of circle die. I adhered the stamped sentiment to a slightly larger Merry Merlot scalloped circle with liquid glue then cut the side off using my Paper Trimmer. It was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I added a bow with a Mini Glue Dot and a scattering of 2021 – 2023 In Color Jewels. Just to bling it up a little more I added a spritz or Clear Wink of Stella. So pretty.

Stampin' Up! products used to make a pretty floral blessing card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Blessing for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink, Stamp. Share blog Hop where we are showcasing a project we have been working on. I am sharing a card made using the Season’s Blessing stamp set and an unusual colour combination.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Blessing card, you will need:

Coastal Cabana card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right and lower left corners
Misty Moonlight card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – Rounded upper right and lower left corners
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper right and lower left corners x 2 – one for the inside
Basic White card – 4” by 2”
Scrap Basic White card

I began by embossing one of the larger Basic White panels using the gorgeous Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and my Stampin’ Cit & Emboss Machine. This embossed layer was then adhered to the Misty Moonlight panel and then to the Coastal Cabana card base with liquid glue.

The double leaf image was stamped twice in Misty Moonlight ink onto scrap Basic White card. The small and medium leaves were stamped in Coastal Cabana ink onto the scrap white card, again two of each leaf. The small flower was stamped in Poppy Parade ink onto the scrap. The whole lot were then die cut using the Seasonal Basket Dies.

Season's Blessings stamp set and Tasteful Labels Dies by Stampin' Up! used to make a prettty note of thanks car

Note of Thanks card for the Kylie Bertucci Demo Training Blog Hop

Here is a little note of thanks made using the pretty Season’s Blessings stamp set for the Kylie Bertucci demo training blog hop. Hello and welcome to my blog and to this months hop. I hope you will hop on to see what inspirations my demo friends have to share with us today.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the note of thanks card, you will need:

Daffodil Delight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded lower left and upper right corners
Poppy Parade card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded lower left and upper right corners
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded lower left and upper right corners
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded lower left and upper right corners – for the inside
Basic White card – 3½” by 2½”

I chose a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies, placed it in the centre of the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White and drew round the inside lightly with a pencil. This helps with placement of the flowers and leaves.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty floral note of thanks card made using the Season’s Blessings stamp set and Tasteful Labels Dies

I selected three flowers and 2 leaves from the Season’s Blessings stamp set. The largest flower was stamped in Poppy Parade ink, slightly over lapping the drawn shape. I added the next flower in Daffodil Delight and the smallest flower in Highland Heather ink.

The leaves were stamped in Just Jade and Garden Green.

Next, I added the flower centres in either Poppy Parade or Daffodil Delight and used the same flower centre in Highland Heather to add purple dots around the grouping of flowers. The whole panel was then glued to the Poppy Parade layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped White Baker’s Twine twice around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then added to the Daffodil Delight card base with glue.

A floral, peach blossom thank you card using the Sweet As A Peach stamp set by Stampin' Up, made for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Peach Blossom for the Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where our theme is Summertime Florals – I love a floral. I decided to make a peach blossom card using the Sweet as a Peach stamp set, I love the pretty spay of flowers in this stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the peach blossom card, you will need:

Polished Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded lower right corner
Pale Papaya card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded lower right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – rounded lower right corner – one for the outside and one for the inside
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 1”
Pear Pizzazz card – 3⅞” by 1⅛”

Using Post It Tape, I masked off a 1” strip – about 1 ¼” from the top of one of the Basic White panels.

I inked up the trio of flowers from the Sweet As A Peach stamp set in Pale Papaya ink and added a dab of Polished pink ink to the centre of each flower using a dauber. I repeated this above and below the masked off area. The flower centres were added in Polished Pink ink using one of the smaller flowers.

The leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink. I used the large spray of leaves, only inking up 2 or 3 at a time. I added a few of the tiny pair of leaves in the same ink.

The trio of tiny flowers was stamped in Polished Pink ink to fill in some of the spaces and the image I used as a flower centre was stamped in Pale Papaya ink. The stamped panel was then glued to the Pale Papaya card layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive before being added on Dimensionals to the Polished Pink card front.

The sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set was stamped in Old Olive ink onto the strip of Basic White card. This was mounted onto the strip of Pear Pizzazz card and added to the card front with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Meadow Dies coloured with Sponge Daubers to make a stunning thank you card

Colorful Meadow for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing a colouring technique. I have made a lovely Colorful Meadow card using the Meadow Dies. You are currently with Mo Rootes from near Cambridge in the UK.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the colourful meadow card, you will need:

Smoky Slate card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4 ⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Poppy Parade – 5” by 3 ¼” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 4⅞” by 3⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White

Taking the smaller Basic White panel and the spotty stamp from the Quiet Meadow stamp set I randomly stamped in Smoky Slate ink. I die cut a number of the Meadow Dies from scrap Basic White.

Using Sponge Daubers, I added colour to each flower. I used Old Olive and Just Jade inks for the stems and leaves.  The larger flower was coloured using Poppy Parade and Cherry Cobbler and the smaller flower coloured with Bumblebee and Poppy Parade. I dabbed the colour on and carefully and lightly sponged it over the die cut taking care not to bend or tear the fragile die cut pieces.

The flowers were added to the stamped background using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive which I applied using my Silicon Mat and a piece of Sponge.

The stamped layer was added to the Poppy Parade layer with the same liquid glue. I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around the layers tying it in a bow. The panel was then mounted onto the Smoky Slate card base on Dimensionals.

I stamped a sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set in Poppy Parade ink onto scarp Basic White card. I die cut it using the sweet little label from the Meadow Dies and added it to the card front.

To finish the card, I added a trio of Red Rhinestones.
