A Peter Rabbit Easter card for the Stamp 'n Hop blog hop challenge

Fable Friends Easter Stamp ‘n Hop

Hello and welcome to this month’s Stamp ‘n hop Blog Hop where the theme is Easter. If you have joined me from the lovely Sandra then welcome, my name is Mo Rootes and I live near Cambridge in the UK. I hope you enjoy my project.

Making the Easter card

I started by taking a piece of Window Sheet about 5 ½” by 3 ¾” and ran it through the Big Shot with the large die from the Doily Builder Die set.  This effectively created a stencil for me to use to make the background of the card.

I laid the stencil onto a piece of Whisper White measuring 5⅛” by 3⅜” and holding it firmly in place I inked it up using So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo and Grapefruit Grove inks applied using  Sponge Daubers. I rounded the upper right corner using the Detailed Trio Punch and added the inked piece to a panel of So Saffron cardstock with the same corner rounded using Multipurpose liquid Adhesive.

I then stamped the cute little Peter Rabbit image in Gray Granite ink onto a scrap piece of Watercolor Paper and die cut it out using the Stitched Shapes framelits and my Big Shot. I used Crumb Cake, So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo inks and an Aqua Painter to paint the rabbit.

I used the Layering Oval dies to cut a scalloped oval and added it to the back of the stamped piece using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped a length of Grapefruit Grove Grosgrain Ribbon around the inked panel and secured it on the back with Sellotape.

The oval topper piece was added to the panel, over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals and a bow of the same ribbon added with a Mini Glue Dot. The sentiment was added to the card front with Flirty Flamingo ink. The whole panel was then added to a Crumb Cake card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I finished off by adding a trio of Share What You love Artisan Pearls.

I used the stencil and inks in the same way to decorate a piece of Whisper White measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” and adhered it to the inside of the card. I used the same technique to colour the front of the envelope.

Such a pretty card, I hope you like it. Please hop on the see what Jenna has to share with us.

Delicate Easter card made using the First Frost stamp set by Stampin' Up!

First Frost for GDP#178 challenge

Today I am sharing a sweet Easter card made for the Global Design Project #178 challenge and using the First Frost stamp set.

Making the Easter card

I started with a layer of Whisper White measuring 5¼” by 3½”. I took the gorgeous leaf and floral sprig and inked it up using the Lemon Lime Twist marker for the leaves and the Fresh Fig marker. I used the brush tip to apply the ink and huffed on the stamp to reactivate the ink before stamping down in the lower right corner of the Whisper White panel.

I rounded the upper right corner of the stamped panel using a Detailed Trio Punch and adhered the panel to a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock with a rounded upper right corner. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to do this and used the same glue to adhere the panels to a Fresh Fig card base.

I stamped the larger rose image in Poppy Parade ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and die cut it using the co-ordinating Frosted Bouquet dies. I love the dimension that these flower stamps have. I added the rose over the stamped sprig using a dimensional.

The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greeting stamp set was stamped in Fresh Fig ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punched out using the Classic Label Punch. I added a ¼” wide strip of Poppy Parade cardstock behind the sentiment using the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and trimmed so that a little of the colour showed on either side. The sentiment was added to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Using the dark Poppy Parade Blends Marker I coloured in 3 of the smallest Basic Pearls and added them to the card front.

I inked up the sprig stamp again with the Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig Markers and stamped it onto a layer of Whisper White measuring  5⅜” by 3⅝”, rounded the upper right corner and glued it inside the card. I stamped the same image on the front of an envelope.

A really simple but sweet card, I hope you like it.
