Love For You card – Crafty-Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we have a colour challenge to work with. I have used the Love For You stamp set which will be retiring at the end of April.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Love For You card,  you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Garden Green card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – Rounded upper left corner
Flirty Flaming card – 2¾” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper left corner – for the inside

I began by die cutting a circle from the square of Flirty Flamingo card using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I placed the die cut circle onto the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White card, slightly overhanging the right edge. I drew around it with a pencil.

The sentiment, from the Perennial Postage stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Basic Black card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. I trimmed it down with Scissors and added it to the card front.

Simple Lavender card

Today I am sharing a pretty, simple lavender card inspired by a card I saw on Youtube created by Barry Selwood of Mitosu crafts.

Colours in this project are:

To recreate the simple lavender card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Gorgeous Grape – 2” by ¼”
Scrap Basic White card

I inked up the spray of flowers with Highland Heather ink and added some Gorgeous Grape ink with a Stamp ‘N Write Marker to give a two toned effect and stamped down on scrap Basic White card.

The bunch of stems was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink onto the same scrap Basic White card and both the stems and the flowers were die cut using the Painted Lavender Dies. I glued the stems to the spray of flowers.

The rectangle was die cut from the 4¼” by 3” panel of Basic White card using the Everyday Details Dies and the spray of flowers were then mounted onto the die cut rectangle.

I laid the die cut rectangle onto the card front, after a little thought I stamped the leafy spray in Granny Apple Green ink in the upper left corner corner of the card front and added the panel on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Gorgeous Grape card, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with a Heat Tool. It was added to the card front with glue.
