Birthday Florets card for the Fitting Florets Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Fitting Florets Blog Hop where we are using the new Fitting Florets collection to make a card. I decided to make my card using only the Framed Florets stamp set to make my project.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the birthday florets card, you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded lower right corner
Old Olive card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded lower right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – rounded lower right corner, one for the outside
Old Olive card – 3¾” by 1¼”

Using Post It tape I masked off a strip about 1¼” deep across one of the panels of Basic White card. I stamped above and below the mask, overlapping the masking tape.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I started with the larger leafy spray. The larger flower was stamped next, then the smaller flower followed by the pair of leaves and the sprig of berries.

The following Blends Pens were used to colour in the images – Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie, Mint Macaron and Old Olive. The masking tape was then removed and the panel glued to the Old Olive layer. I used the same glue to adhere the panel onto the Flirty Flamingo card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set with Versamark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. I added it where the masking tape had been using Dimensionals.

Amazing Year card

I have used the pretty Amazing Year stamp set to make a lovely floral card for a friend.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the amazing year card, you will need:

Soft Succulent card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Evening Evergreen card – 4” by 3”
Sweet Sorbet card – 3¾” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 3⅝” by 2⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the bouquet of flowers onto the small panel of Basic White card.

I used the following Blends Alcohol Markers to colour in the image – Sweet Sorbet, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. The decorated panel was then glued to the Sweet Sorbet layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using the Sweet Sorbet and White Baker’s Twine from the 2022 – 2024 In Color selection, I wrapped a strand a couple of times around, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The decorated panel was then added over the twine on Dimensionals.

I used the bouquet of flowers image to stamp in the upper right and lower left corners of the Soft Succulent card front in Soft Succulent ink and added the stamped panel to the centre with liquid glue.

A Baker’s Twine bow and a trio of 2022 – 2024 In Color Matte Dots completed the card.

Sending Smiles for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by a picture/colour challenge. I used the Sending Smiles stamp set to make a pretty floral card using the colours we were given.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the sending smiles card, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner

Merry Merlot card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner

Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner

2022 – 2024 In Color dsp – 3¾” by 1”

Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”– rounded upper left corner

Merry Merlot card – ¼” strip

Using Mossy Meadow ink, I stamped the stems and leaves onto the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card.

The flowers were added in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Merry Merlot and Tahitian Tide. The flower centres were stamped in either Crumb Cake or Merry Merlot ink.

I added the strip of Tahitian Tide dsp at the bottom of the panel and wrapped a length of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine around the panel securing it on the back with Sellotape. The decorated piece was the adhered to the Merry Merlot panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink onto the strip of Merry Merlot card, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it using a Heat Tool. I trimmed the cardstock down and added it to the panel with liquid glue.

The whole panel was mounted on the Crumb Cake card base on Dimensionals.

A pretty hang in there/get well card made using the Wisteria Wishes stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Hang In There card

The Wisteria Wishes stamp set was on my desk today and I have used it to make a pretty floral, hang in there card for a friend who is having a difficult time right now.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the hang in there card, you will need:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Petal Pink card – 4⅝” by 3⅛”
Basic White card – 4½” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

Using the large leafy image and the additional sprig of leaves I stamped in the upper left and lower right corners of the Old Olive card front in Old Olive ink.

I stamped the same image in the upper left corner of the smaller panel of Basic White card using the same Old Olive ink.

The trio of flowers were then stamped in Petal Pink ink and the more detailed blossom added over top in Merry Merlot ink. Love these two colours together.

The sentiment was stamped in Old Olive ink and I added some leaves in the lower left corner which looked a bit bare.

The stamped panel was mounted onto the Petal Pink panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then to the Old Olive card front on Dimensionals.

Occasion Framed card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we have a colour challenge. We were asked to create something using 3 of the following 5 colours:

I couldn’t pick just 3, I mean which 3 would you choose?……..so….. I used them all + Basic White to create an occasion framed card.

To recreate the occasion framed card, you will need:

Thick Basic White care base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Design A Daydream dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Polished Pink card – Smidgeon under 5” by smidgeon under 3¼”
Basic White card – 4⅞ by 3⅛”
Scrap Basic White card

The layer of Design A Daydream designer series paper (dsp) was glued to the Thick Basic White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the hexagonal frame in Blackberry Bliss ink onto the scrap Basic White card an added the sentiment in Tahitian Tide ink. This was then die cut using the Beautiful Shapes dies.

The die was then placed on the panel of Basic White card and using a pencil, I drew lightly around the inside. This helps when positioning the stamped images.

Th flowers were stamped first in Polished Pink ink, I always like to stamp the larger images first. The leafy sprig was then stamped in Parakeet Party, the outer image in full strength and the infill image in 2^nd generation ink.

The smaller sprig was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink, the long thin, sprig added in Parakeet Party and finally, the trio of dots in Tahitian Tide. The pencil lines were then erased and the stamped panel added to the Polished Pink layer.

A length of 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine were wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape and the panel added to the card front using the same liquid glue.

The sentiment piece was then added to the card front on Dimensionals. A double bow, made using the 2022-2024 In Color Twine was added with a Mini Glue Dot. I coloured three basic rhinestones using the Polished Pink Blends Pens and added them to complete the card.

Hand Penned Flowers card

Today I am sharing a pretty card inspired by fellow demonstrator Lorna Carter. I loved how Lorna used the Artistic Mix Decorative masks as backgrounds. I have used the same Hand Penned Petals stamp set to make my card but have changed up the colours.

To recreate the hand penned card, you will need:

Fresh Freesia card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Smoky Slate card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White card

I placed one of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks onto the smaller panel of Basic White card, holding it in place with a Post It Note. Using a Blending Brush, I added Fresh Freesia ink over the mask. The mask was the removed and the pattern revealed.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set, in the lower left corner of the inked panel in Smoky Slate ink.

Using the same Smoky Slate ink, I stamped the larger group of flowers onto scrap Basic White card. A length of the Silver Metallic Mesh Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The whole piece was then mounted onto the Fresh Freesia card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I used the following colours to stamp the infill images for the flowers and leaves – Fresh Freesia, Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz. The completed piece was mounted over the ribbon to the card front on Dimensionals.

I have been using the pretty Jar of Flowers stamp set to make a birthday card today. I haven’t used this set in a while and I had forgotten how lovely the images are.

To recreate the pretty jar of flowers stamp set. You will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic Black card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
2022 – 2024 In Color dsp – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4½” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Basic White strip – ⅜”
Scrap strips of Basic White, So Saffron & Fresh Freesia

The dsp panel was glued to the Basic Black layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then to the Crumb Cake card front using the same glue.

I stamped the cluster of flowers in Memento Basic Black ink onto the smaller piece of Basic White card, towards the top. I stamped the same image onto a Post It Note and fussy cut around the bottom of the image. I used this to mask off the bottom of the stamped image.

The jar was stamped below the flowers, overlapping the Post It Note mask. I mask was removed. I then stamped the stems of the flowers inside the jar. I used the back of the small jar to add the water to the jar using 2^nd generation Balmy Blue ink.

I used the following Blends Alcohol Pens to colour in the image – So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sorbet, Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent and Crumb Cake. I masked the ends of the scrap strips of Basic White, So Saffron & Fresh Freesia to the back of the decorated panel and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Art Gallery stamp set was stamped onto a strip of Basic White card in Sweet Sorbet ink. I flagged the end and added it to the card front.

Wonderful World card for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we have a sketch challenge to work with. I love a sketch as it really pushes you out of your comfort zone and makes you look your supplies in a totally different way. I have chosen to use the Wonderful World dsp which we only have for another 2 days.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the wonderful world card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Wonderful World dsp – 5” by 1” x 4
Wonderful World dsp – 4⅛” by ⅜”
Scrap Basic White

I chose 4 patterns of the Wonderful World dsp and cut them into 5” by 1” strips. These were added to the Thick Basic White card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Another strip was cut at 4⅛” by ⅜” and added across the card front.

I used the Decorative Circle Punch to punch out a label from scrap Basic White card and added it to the card.

One of the beautiful flowers was the fussy cut from the dsp and added on top of the label with a dab of liquid glue.

A Duo of Pretty Flowers card

I have used two flowers from the Wonderful World stamp set and the Stitched Greenery Die for today’s card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the wonderful Iris card, you will need:

Rich Razzleberry card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Mossy Meadow card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Rich Razzleberry card – 3” by 2½” x 2
Basic White card – 2½” by 2¼” x 2
Wonderful World dsp – 3 ¾” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I ran the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the pretty Stitched Greenery Die then glued the panel to the Mossy Meadow layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped a length of Gold Shimmer Ribbn around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape and added it to the Rich Razzleberry card front.

Using the Beautiful Shapes dies, I cut two hexagons from the small pieces of Basic White card and two slightly larger hexagons from the Rich Razzleberry card.

Using a Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Marker I added ink to the cornflower. I used a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker to add colour to the stem and leaves. I huffed on the inked stamp and stamped it onto one of the Basic White hexagon.

I inked up the rose image in the same way using the Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker. The two flowers were then added to the Rich Razzleberry hexagons and then to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Go To Greetings stamp set was stamped in Melon Mambo ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using a label from the Stylish Shapes Dies. It was tucked under the flower and secured with liquid glue.

Here is a pretty card made using the gorgeous Ranunculus Romance stamp set, team with Gray Granite and Vellum.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the cherry ranunculus card, you will need:

Cherry Cobbler card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Gray Granite card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner – x 2 – one for the inside
Vellum – 3½” by 3½”
Scrap Basic White

I stamped the ornate border stamp in Cherry Cobbler ink onto one of the Basic White panels, I added the Eiffel Tower stamp using the same ink.

Using Gray Granite ink, I stamped the floral spray and the Lille stamp to create a collage effect. The stamped panel was then glued to the Gray Granite panel.

I wrapped a piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the panel before adhering the whole piece to the Cherry Cobbler card base.

The ranunculus flower was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Back ink onto scrap Basic White card and then die cut it out using the Ranunculus Dies. I coloured the image using the Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow Blends Pens.

I die cut a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies from the Vellum cardstock. The coloured flower was then adhered to the vellum circle with dabs of liquid glue. I added the circle to the card front on Dimensionals hidden behind the flower.
