Trio of Elves Card – Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing  a project we have been working on. The card I am sharing features a trio of elf’s and was made using the adorable Festive Friends stamp set and a masking technique.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the trio of elf’s card, you will need:

Granny Apple Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Secret Sea card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 2¼” by 1”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card
Scrap of Adhesive Sheet

I stamped the snowflake in the upper left and lower right corners of the Granny Apple Green card base using Granny Apple Green ink.

In the centre of the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card I stamped the elf with Secret Sea ink. I stamped the same image onto a scrap of Adhesive Sheet and fussy cut it out. I removed the backing paper and adhered the mask over the original stamped image.

The same image was stamped again using the same ink, once to the right and then to the left of the masked image. The mask was then removed.

The elves were then coloured in using the following Blends Pens – Ivory for their skin, Dark Crumb Cake for the hair, Light Smoky Slate for the trousers and either Soft Sea Foam, Lemon Lime Twist or Granny Apple Green for the coat and hat. The decorated panel was then adhered to the Secret Sea layer before it was mounted onto the granny Apple Green card front.

The sentiment was stamped with Secret Sea ink onto scrap Basic White card. I die cut it out using the Traditional Labels dies. I ran it through the Cut & Emboss Machine twice to make the label smaller. The sentiment was then glued to the card front.
