Twisted Kintsugi Card – Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing projects we have been working on. My twisted Kinsugi card was inspired by Julie Davison – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAaB4fg3Oq8 and I made it using the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set and dies with the Kintsugi Inspirations designer series paper (dsp) to make my version of Julie’s card.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the twisted kintsugi card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight card base – 10¼” by 4 x 2 scored at 5½”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3¾”
Kintsugi Inspirations dsp – 3¾” by 3¾” cut in half on the diagonal from corner to corner
Basic White card – 3¼” by 3¼”
Scrap Kintsugi Inspirations dsp and Cloud Cover card

With a pencil, mark each of the smaller panels of the card bases at 4” then score from the 4” mark to the upper corner on both pieces of card

Glue the 2 large panels of the card bases, one on top of the others to create the back of the card.

The card base was then folded on all the score lines and the 2 triangles of Kintsugi Inspiration dsp adhered to the triangular front panels with the long edge butted up to the edge of the fold.

Using the largest stitched squares from the Stylish Shapes Dies I cut a square from the square of Basic White card.

From the Kintsugi Inspirations dsp I die cut a vase and a bowl and glued the die cut pieces to the stitched square. From scrap Cloud Cover card, I die cut the small open floral piece and tucked it in the top of the bowl.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Cloud Cover card. I covered it with Gold Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. The sentiment was then trimmed down and glued to the Basic White square.

With the closed card in portrait mode, I adhered the ribbon to the top triangle with a little Tear and Tape. The upper half of the square was then glued to the upper triangle and the ribbon wrapped around and tied in a bow to close the card.

A trio of Adhesive-backed Metallic Sequins finished the card.
