Sweet Puffin for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Babies and Kids’. I have used the sweet Puffin Party stamp set and the new Design A Daydream to make a puffin birthday card.

The colours used in this project are:

To recreate the puffin birthday card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Design a Daydream dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White card

I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the dsp panel to the larger Basic White layer. The panel was added to the Pool Party card front.

The puffin image was mounted on one of the Stamparatus Plates, inked with Memento Basic Black ink and stamped onto scrap Basic White card. I repeated this 3 times to get the depth of colour I wanted.

The birthday cake and sentiment – from the Paradise Palms stamp set – was stamped in the same black ink and all three images were then die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Using Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink and Pool Party Blends Pens I coloured in the images and mounted the circles onto the card front on Dimensionals.

A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones completed the card. I hope you like it.
