Birdhouses card Welcome Card

A pretty card to share with you today made using the sadly, about to retire Garden Birds stamp set.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the birdhouses card, you will need:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Fresh Freesia card – 4½” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 4⅜” by 2⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic Black card

The branch, pole, birdhouses and bird were all stamped onto the smaller panel of Basic Black card in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the following Blends Alcohol Markers to colour in the images – So Saffron, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Pool Party, Old Olive, Smoky Slate & Ivory

The grass and flowers were stamped along the bottom in Old Olive ink and the flowers coloured in with dark Highland Heather Blends Marker. Using a Blending Brush I added Soft Sea Foam ink to mute the stark white of the background. The panel was then added to the Fresh Freesia panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The tree branch was stamped along the top of the Old Olive card front in Old Olive ink and the grass and flowers added in the same way along the bottom of the card front. The coloured panel was then added overtop on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Basic Black card, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I then fussy cut around it with my Scissors before adding it to the card front.
