Using the Tailored Tag Punch, I punched a label from the centre of the Flirty Flamingo panel before adhering the Daffodil Afternoon dsp.

I added the contrasting strip of dsp before adding the panel to the Basic Black card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Flirty Flaming ink and punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch. The Flirty Flamingo label was cut across the middle and added to the back.

I added a bow using the metallic ribbon and a trio of Classic Matte Dots.

Scalloped Edge card

Thick Very Vanilla card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”

The Daffodil Afternoon dsp was glued to the Pale Papaya panel and the panel was added with the same glue to the Mossy Meadow card front.

The strip of Pale Papaya was stamped using the dotty image from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set in Pale Papaya ink. I then tore the strip down each side and added it to the card front.

The sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on the small piece of Very Vanilla card and punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch. The label was then added on Dimensionals. A trio of 2021 – 2023 In Color Jewels completed the card.

A pretty floral card made for my August customer make & take using the Sale-a-Bration Summer Shadow dies

Summer Shadow Dies used for a customer Make & Take

Today I am sharing a pretty card designed using the Summer Shadow Dies as my customer Make & Take for August 2021. Anyone who orders from me during the month will get this kit through the mail with instructions on how to make the card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Summer Shadow card, you will need:

Fresh Freesia card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Evening Evergreen – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – rounded upper left corner, one for the inside
Pansy Petals dsp – 5½” by 1”
Pansy Petals dsp – 4” by ½”
Scrap Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Succulent and Basic White

I began by gluing the 1” wide strip of striped dsp to one of the Basic White panels. Add the piece of gingham dsp on top towards the right-hand side. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

A pretty floral card made for my August customer make & take using the Sale-a-Bration Summer Shadow dies

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Summer Shadow Dies used to make a pretty floral card for my August customer make & take.

The sentiment, from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.  My customers will have to chose a sentiment from their own stash.

The whole panel was added to the Evening Evergreen layer with the same glue and I used the same glue to adhere the panel to the Fresh Freesia card base.

I used liquid glue to adhere the die cut detailed flowers to the flower bases. I had to move them around until they lined up. The liquid glue was squeezed out onto my Silicon Craft Mat, picked up with a Sponge Dauber and dabbed on the back of the detailed flower.

I have used the pretty Delicate Dahlias stamp set to make a pretty blue dahlias themed sympathy card.

Colours used in this project:

To recreate the blue dahlias card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Balmy Blue card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Balmy Blue

I stamped the outline of the beautiful dahlia in Misty Moonlight ink onto the smaller Basic White panel. The infill stamped was inked in Balmy Blue and stamped to colour the flowers.

The outline of the smaller flower was then stamped in Pale Papaya ink between the dahlias. The infill stamp was inked up with Pale Papaya, stamped off then used to add subtle colour to the flowers.

The stamped panel was added to the Balmy Blue layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and a length of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon added and secured on the back with Sellotape. The whole piece was then added to the Misty Moonlight card base on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink onto scrap Basic White card and punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch. I punch the same label from scrap Balmy Blue card, cut it in half from side to side and adhered it to the stamped label so that a little of the blue showed top and bottom. It was added over the ribbon on Dimensionals.

A bow was added with a Mini Glue Dot and a trio of Elegant Faceted Gems dotted around to complete the card.

The new Feels Like Home stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty water coloured card

Feels Like Home for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on. I have chosen to use the Feels Like Home stamp set, a free choice from the Sale-A-Bration brochure with a £45 order, and a bit of water colouring.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the feels like home card, you will need:

Blushing Bride card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic Gray card – 5⅛” by 3⅝”
Fluid 100 Watercolor card – 5” by 3½”
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾”

Using the Stamparatus, I stamped the image in Basic Gray ink. I find I get a better image using the Stamparatus especially on this textured paper.

I like to use the lid of my inkpads as my palette, either by squeezing the pad to the lid or adding a drop of re-inker directly into the lid and adding water.

Using a Water Painter, I added a light wash of water to the tree, then added Old Olive ink and allowed it to spread. I moved on to paint the wall in the same way with Blushing Bride ink

The door was painted using Poppy Parade ink and the door surround and decking in Smoky Slate. The window in the door was coloured using Bumblebee ink.

The plant pots were painted with Misty Moonlight ink and the leaves and flowers added using Old Olive, Blushing Bride and Poppy Parade ink. The basket and seat of the bike were coloured with Soft Suede ink

I used my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write maker to define the door panels and the tree branches and used a Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Write Marker to draw in the bicycle.

I debated where to place a sentiment and finally decided to stamp it on the inside panel. The sentiment came from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set, I love the fonts in this stamp set, gorgeous.
