Daisy Double Fractured Shutter card for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing cards mad using the ‘fractured shutter technique’. I have used the gorgeous Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series paper to make my card.

Colours featuring in this card are:

To recreate the daisy shutter card, you will need:

Moody Mauve card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Fresh As A Daisy dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 2⅛” by 2⅛”
Wild Wheat strips – ¼” wide
Basic White strips – ¼” wide
Scrap Fresh As A Daisy dsp
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

The sentiment, from the Throughout the Year stamp set was stamped in Moody Mauve ink onto the square of Basic White card.

The panel of Fresh As A Daisy dsp was lined up with my grid paper to find the centre I added the sentiment square using the grid lines to ensure that it was in the centre and straight.

Lining the end of a Wild Wheat ¼” strip with a corner of the sentiment square, I adhered it in place using the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The excess was the trimmed off. I repeated this step on all 4 side of the sentiment panel.

This step was repeated, adhering the ¼” Basic White strips

I added liquid glue to the triangular panels in the upper right and lower left corners and tucked in a scrap piece of co-ordinating dsp. The excess was then trimmed off.

The panel was then glued to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” piece of Basic White card. The whole piece was then glued to the Moody Mauve card base.
