Enjoy the Run Double Z Fold card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I have chosen to share the enjoy the run birthday card made for my husband’s upcoming birthday using the Enjoy the Day designer series paper. He is a keen ultra-runner and loves to run in 30 – 100-mile events – so this dsp and the co-ordinating Greatest Journey Dies were perfect for his birthday card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the enjoy the run card, you will need:

Starry Sky card base – 11” by 5½” – scored at 2¾” and 5½”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 5⅜”
Enjoy the Journey dsp – 5¼” by 5¼”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 2⅝”
Enjoy the Journey dsp – 5¼” by 5¼”

Thick Basic White inner card base – 9¼” by 4¼”
Enjoy the Journey dsp – 4⅛” by 3⅝”
Enjoy the Journey dsp – 4⅛” by 2⅝”
Scrap Basic White and Basic Black
Basic White card – 5¼” by 5¼”

Using Multipurpose Liquid adhesive I glued the larger pieces of designer series paper (dsp)  – I used the starry sky patten – to the slightly larger panels of Basic White card. The panels were then glued to the Starry Sky card base.

I die cut 3 or 4 of the ‘ground’ strips from scrap Basic Black card and laid them out along the bottom of the 3 smaller panels of dsp – I used the green mountains and trees pattern – I moved them around until I got the look of a connected strip of ground.

The die cut strips were then trimmed to fit and glued to the panels of dsp. The panels were the added to the Thick Basic White inner card base using the same liquid adhesive.

I die cut a number of ‘runners’ from scrap Basic Black card and added then to the scene with liquid glue.

The white inner card base was the positioned onto the Starry Sky card base and the front panel of both adhered together, making sure to only add glue to the left side of the Basic White piece.

I added glue to the back of the Thick Basic White bae and closed the card, adhering it to the back panel of the Starry Sky card base.

Clouds were then die cut from scrap Basic White card and added them to the card.
