Partially Die Cut Blessings of Home for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing projects showcasing die-cutting. I have chosen to share a partially die cut card featuring the Blessings of Home stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the blessings of home card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Abigail Rose dsp – 5⅝” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Gold Glimmer card – 5⅜” by approx. 1⅞”
Gold Glimmer card – 5⅝” by ⅜”
Basic Black strip ¼” wide

I began by gluing the Abigail Rose designer series paper (dsp) to the Thick Basic White card front – I had to add a strip of Gold Glimmer to the right side as I had managed to cut the dsp slightly to short.

The large floral stamp from the Blessings of Home stamp set was stamped in the middle of the panel of Basic White card in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I placed the co-ordinating die form the Flowers of Home set of dies was then placed over the stamped image and secured in place with a little washi tape. I then placed the top cutting plate half way across right-hand side of the stamped image and ran it through the Cut and Emboss Machine, die-cutting only the right side. Using Paper snips, I cut from the top and bottom of the panel until I reached the edge of the die-cut area and dropped the excess in the bin.

I added the larger piece of Gold Glimmer behind the left-side, uncut part of the panel. I cut it down to fit the piece exactly.

The whole piece was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Petal Pink Blends Pens were used to add a little colour to the largest flower. I blurred the edge of the coloured area with a Color Lifter.

The embossed sentiment was on my desk, left over form another project and was added to the card front. It was originally stamped in Versamark ink, covered in White Embossing Powder and Heat set.
