Oh Happy Day card

I made this card for a recent team challenge where the theme was ‘cheer me up’. I don’t know about you but the adorable bunny from the Playing in the Rain stamp set never fails to make me smile…… I love him and have made my oh happy day card using some paper piecing.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the happy day card, you will need:

Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Sweet Sorbet card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Scrap 2022 – 2024 In Color dsp

I stamped the bunny image onto the smaller panel of Basic White in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The bunny was then stamped again using the same ink onto a scrap of 2022 – 2024 In Color dsp. I then used my sharp scissors to trim out the bunny’s jacket. The jacket was then glued in place on to the original stamped bunny.

I wanted the bunny to be white but added some colour to the ears and nose using the SU1000 Blends Pen from the Naturals Collection. The puddle was coloured used the Balmy Blue Blends Pens.

To ‘ground’ the bunny I outlined it using the light Soft Sea Foam Blend and feathered the colour with the Color Lifter

The sentiment was added in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the decorated panel adhered to the Sweet Sorbet layer using liquid glue. The whole piece was added to the Soft Sea Foam card front on Dimensionals

A trio of Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins completed the card. I hope you like it
