Good Old Saint Nick card

Today I am sharing the card made for our team challenge which is based on a sketch. I have made my card using the Saint Nicholas stamp set.

Colours in this card are:

 

To recreate the saint Nick card, you will need:

Cherry Cobbler card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Walk in the Forest dsp – Strips – 3⅝” long, no set width
Cherry Cobbler card – 4” by 3”
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

Using the Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder I embossed the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card and glued it to the Cherry Cobbler card front.

I used the same liquid glue to adhere the strips of dsp to the embossed panel.

The image of Saint Nick was stamped in Pebbled Path ink onto the smallest panel of Basic White card.

The following Blends Alcohol Markers were used to colour in the image – Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wheat, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate Pebbled Path and the lightest Natural Tones Pen.

The decorated panel was glued to the smaller Cherry Cobbler panel. It was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

The Sail Boat Builder Punch by Stamping Up! used to make a card for a 'By the Sea' themed team challenge

Sail Boat card

The theme for the current team challenge is ‘By the Sea’ and I have made a card using the Sail Boat Builder Punch and the Stargazing designer Series Paper.

Colours in this project are:

 

To recreate the sail boat card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Stargazing dsp – 4⅛” by 4⅛”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 3¾”
Pool Party card – 4⅛” by ⅜” x 2
Scrap Pool Party, Real Red & Pebbled Path

 

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the strips of Pool Party card to the top and bottom of the piece of Stargazing dsp. The whole piece was then glued to the Thick Basic White card base.

The Masterfully Made dsp and Cheerful Daisies Dies used to make a beautiful floral card made for a team tic tac toe challenge

Daisy Tic Tac Toe card for a team Challenge

Today I am sharing a card made for a team challenge inspired by a Tic Tac Toe board. I have chosen to use the right hand, vertical column – DSP, Ink Blending, Birthday combined with the Masterfully Made dsp and Cheerful Daisies Dies.

To recreate the daisy, tic tac toe card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Masterfully Made dsp – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Masterfully Made dsp – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White card

 

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the larger piece to Masterfully Made dsp to the Thick Basic White card base. The smaller piece of dsp was added overtop using the same liquid glue.

The gorgeous daisy was die cut from scrap Basic White card using the Cheerful Daisies Dies. I also die cut a couple of sprigs from the same scrap card.

Berry Burst ink was used to stamp the daisy centre and die cut it using the same set of dies.

A Blending Brush was used to apply Berry Burst ink to 2 parts of the flower and to the flower centre.

Oh Happy Day card

I made this card for a recent team challenge where the theme was ‘cheer me up’. I don’t know about you but the adorable bunny from the Playing in the Rain stamp set never fails to make me smile…… I love him and have made my oh happy day card using some paper piecing.

Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Sweet Sorbet card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Scrap 2022 – 2024 In Color dsp

 

I stamped the bunny image onto the smaller panel of Basic White in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The bunny was then stamped again using the same ink onto a scrap of 2022 – 2024 In Color dsp. I then used my sharp scissors to trim out the bunny’s jacket. The jacket was then glued in place on to the original stamped bunny.

I wanted the bunny to be white but added some colour to the ears and nose using the SU1000 Blends Pen from the Naturals Collection. The puddle was coloured used the Balmy Blue Blends Pens.

To ‘ground’ the bunny I outlined it using the light Soft Sea Foam Blend and feathered the colour with the Color Lifter

The sentiment was added in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the decorated panel adhered to the Sweet Sorbet layer using liquid glue. The whole piece was added to the Soft Sea Foam card front on Dimensionals

Layered Florets for a team challenge

Our latest team challenge is ‘Texture’ and I have created a pretty layered card using the Framed Florets stamp set and dies and the Fitting Florets dsp.

To recreate the layered florets card, you will need:

Evening Evergreen card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Blushing Bride card – 5½” by 3⅝”
Fitting Florets dsp – 5⅜” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 1”
Blushing Bride card – 4¼” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Soft Succulent

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the Fitting Florets dsp to the larger Blushing Bride panel. I die cut the pretty scalloped border from the strip of Basic White card and glued it to the right side of the panel of dsp and added it to the Evening Evergreen card base.

I die cut the ovals, frame and inner piece from both the Blushing Bride and Basic White 4¼” by 3¼” panels.

The sentiment was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink onto the Basic White oval, turned it face down, added the Blushing Bride embossed frame around it and adhered the two together with Dimensionals. It was added to the card front.

I die cut the duo of flowers from the Fitting Florets dsp with the Framed Florets Dies and glued it using liquid glue to the bottom of the oval.

Using the same dies I die cut a selection of leaves from the scrap Basic White and Soft Succulent card and tucked them in around the flowers.

A pretty Sympathy/Thinking of you card made for a team challenge using the Botanical Layers stamp set by Stampin' Up!

A Botanical Thinking of You card

As a mark of respect for the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II the theme of our latest team challenge is ‘Sympathy/Thinking of You. I have used the Botanical Layers stamp set to make a botanical thinking of you card.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the botanical thinking of you card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Starry Sky card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Basic White strip – ⅜” wide

 

Using a Blending Brush I added a little Pool Party ink to the small panel of Basic White card, to the right of centre and towards the bottom.

The inked panel was then placed, face down, onto my Scoring Tool and scored using a stylus and ¼” and ⅜” on all 4 sides to create the effect of a framed border.

The inked and scored panel was then turned face up and using Pool Party ink, I stamped the large leaf spray to the right of the inked area. The reed like image was then added in Starry Sky ink.

The stamped panel was then added to the Starry Sky layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole piece was then mounted onto the Pool Party card base using Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Art Gallery stamp set in Starry Sky ink onto the strip of Basic White card. I didn’t want to word I’m so masked it off with Washi Tape prior to inking the stamp. I trimmed down the strip and flagged one end before adding it to the card front with the liquid glue.

A gorgeous butterfly themed flutter and fly card for a team challenge using Stampin' Up! product!

Flutter and Fly

Today I am sharing a sweet flutter and fly card made using the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I made this for a recent team challenge where our theme was ‘Flutter and Fly’

To recreate the flutter and fly card you will need

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – Rounded lower left corner
Highland Heather – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded lower left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded lower left corner x 2
Scrap Whisper White

I began by using Post It Notes to mask off one of the panels of Whisper White card leaving a 1¼” strip exposed from top to bottom of the panel.

Starting from the bottom I applied Gorgeous Grape ink using a piece of Stampin’ Sponge. I moved on up the panel with Highland Heather ink applying less and less ink as I got nearer the top to give an ombre effect.

Keeping the Post It notes in place, I stamped the lovely leafy image from the Very Versaillles stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink down the entire inked panel. The post Notes were then removed and the stamped panel added to the Highland Heather layer and then to the Pool Party card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive for both.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp one large butterfly and multiple small butterflies onto scrap Whisper White card. The butterflies came from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I used the Butterfly Duet Punch to punch them out.

I used 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Highland Heather and Coastal Cabana inks to stamp the inner colour onto the butterflies. The butterflies were added to the card front with Glue Dots.

The sentiment from the Free As A Bird stamp set was stamped in Highland Heather ink onto scrap Whisper White and trimmed out using Scissors. This was added to the card front with the liquid glue. I added some Basic Rhinestones to some of the butterflies to complete the card.

The bright jewel colours of the See a Silhouette dsp used for a sweet card

See A Silhouette dsp used for a team challenge

Today I am sharing a card made for a team challenge the theme of which is DSP and a sentiment. I chose to use the gorgeously bright and bold ‘See A Silhouette’ dsp for the challenge.

To recreate the See a Silhouette card you will need;

Thick Whisper White card base 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
See a Silhouette dsp 5⅝” by 3¾”
See a Silhouette dsp 4⅛” by ½”
Whisper White 2½” by 2½”
Poppy Parade 2½” by 2½”

I placed the larger panel of dsp on the Thick Whisper White card base and moved it around until I found a pleasing angle. I then glued it to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I trimmed off the excess cardstock with sharp scissors.

I add the 2nd thinner strip of dsp near the bottom of the card with the same glue.

The sentiment from the Forever Lovely stamp set was stamped on the square of Whisper White cardstock using Mossy Meadow ink.

I die cut the sentiment using the Layering Circle dies and glued it to a scalloped circle die cut from the square of Poppy Parade cardstock.

The sentiment was then added to the card front on Dimensionals. I added a trio of Red Rhinestones for a little bit of sparkle.

Forever Lovely for a team challenge

Today I am sharing a card made using the Forever Lovely Bundle for our team challenge. We were asked to CASE one of our own cards and after some thought I chose this sweet card made in December 2018.

I have kept many of the elements from the original card but wanted to use brighter, richer colours.

Making the Forever Lovely card

I began by stamping the circle from The Swirly Frames stamp set in Gray Granite ink onto a large scrap of Whisper White cardstock and die cut it using The Layering Circle dies and my Big Shot. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Gray Granite ink.

The flowers were stamped in Berry Burst ink or Bermuda Bay ink and die cut using the Lovely Flowers dies. A couple of flowers were also fussy cut using my sharp scissors. I also stamped the leaves in Granny Apple Green ink onto Granny Apple Green cardstock and die cut them. Finally I die cut the small flowers in both Berry Burst cardstock and Coastal Cabana cardstock.

I added all the pieces to a layer of Whisper White cardstock, 5¼” by 3½” using either Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or Stampin Dimensionals. This decorated panel was layered onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” with Multipurpose glue. The whole topper was then added to a Berry Burst card base. I added a trio of Glitter Enamel Dots to add a little shine to the card.

I stamped the large flower in Bermuda Bay ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock 5⅜” by 3⅝” and added the layer inside the card. The same image was stamped on an envelope. Ooh I neraly forgot – I also rounded the upper right corners on all the layers using the Detailed Trio Punch.
