Fern Card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on. I am sharing a card using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder which is carrying over into the new annual catalogue.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the fern card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Mossy Meadow card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Stargazing dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White

Using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder I embossed the piece if Stargazing dsp.

The back edge of the Mossy Meadow ink pad to was then dragged, lightly, across the top of the embossed panel adding colour to the top of the fern leaves. I absolutely love the effect this gives.

The embossed panel was then glued to the Mossy Meadow layer and a length of Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon was wrapped around before the whole piece was added to the Thick Basic White card front.

I die cut 2 stitched squares from scrap Basic White card using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The larger square was tucked under the ribbon and adhered in place.

The sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped onto the smaller stitched square using Mossy Meadow ink. The square was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.
