Greatest Pines Christmas card for the Christmas Stampathon

Today I am sharing the cards made for the Christmas Stampathon challenge. Each month we are asked to create 5 identical Christmas cards designed around a theme and the theme for March is ‘75% white space’. I love a bit of white space and chose to make my cards using the Greatest Journey stamp set combined with an old favourite, the Watercolor Shapes stamp set.

Colours used in these cards are:

To recreate the greatest pines card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8” by 8” – scored at 4⅛”
Shaded Spruce card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Basic White card – ¼” wide strip

The larger circle from the Watercolor Shapes stamp set was stamped in 2nd generation Balmy Blue ink on one of the 5½” by 3¾” panels of Basic White card.

I added the stars at the top of the stamped circle in Starry Sky ink.

The stamp panel was then glued to the Shaded Spruce layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The sentiment from the Peaceful Deer stamp set was stamped on the ¼” wide strip of Basic White card in Starry Sky ink. I trimmed it down with Scissors and added it to the card front.
