Robin on a Branch for the Christmas Stampathon

I have been making Christmas cards today for the Christmas Stampathon and out theme this month is ‘Birds & Branches’. I have created a robin perched on a branch card using the Perched in a Tree stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the robin on a branch card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Soft Suede card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Fitting Florets dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 4” by 3”
Basic White strip – ⅜” wide
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Soft Suede

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I added the dsp to the Soft Suede panel and wrapped a piece of Red Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then glued to the Balmy Blue card front using the same liquid glue.

Using the Framed Florets Dies, I die cut an oval from the smaller panel of Basic White card. I stamped the bird on the die cut oval, saving the frame for another project.

I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the image – Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Pale Papaya, Gray Granite and Crumb Cake.

From the Aspen Dies I cut a branch from the scrap Soft Suede card and glued it to the oval, beneath the bird. The oval was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Framed & Festive stamp set was stamped in Soft Suede onto the strip of Basic White card. I flagged the end and trimmed it down before adding it to the card front with liquid glue.

A trio of Red Rhinestones completed the card. As per the Christmas Stampathon rules I made 4 of these cards. I hope you like them.
