Happy Hugs card

Here is a sweet Happy Hugs get well soon card made using the Healing Hugs and Happy Birthday to you stamp sets.

To recreate the Happy Hugs card you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Old Olive – 4¼” by 3¼”
Whisper White – 4” by 3½”
Scrap Whisper White, Smoky Slate and Vellum

Using the sprig stamp from the Healing Hugs stamp set I stamped randomly across the front of the Flirty Flamingo card base in Flirty Flamingo ink.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Old Olive ink onto the smaller Whisper White panel and I used to Rectangle Stitched Dies to die cut the shape. I die cut the next size up rectangle from the Old Olive panel and adhered the two rectangles together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

This panel was then mounted onto the Flirty Flamingo card base using Dimensionals.

I stamped the cake from the Happy Birthday To You stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card stock and die cut the flowers using the Happy Birthday Dies. The flowers were coloured in using the following Blends Markers –  Flirty Flamingo combo, Daffodil Delight & Old Olive

The foliage was die cut from scrap Smoky Slate and Vellum card stock.  The die cut flowers were added to the card front with liquid glue and the foliage pieces tucked in behind to give a fuller effect. I added the dots in the Flirty Flamingo ink to break up the white panel. I used the dark Daffodil Delight Blends Marker to colour in a trio of Basic Pearls and added them to the card front. The flowers were then given a coat of Clear Wink of Stella.

The sprig of foliage was stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink onto the remaining Whisper White panel and adhered inside the card. The same image was used to decorate the envelope.

I loved taking a a new stamp set and mixing it up with a stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. I hope you like it.
