Ladybird Birthday Card

I am sharing a sweet ladybird birthday card made using the Hello Ladybug stamps set.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the ladybird card, you will need:

Sweet Sorbet card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Parakeet Party card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic Black card – 3¼” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 2¼” by 2⅛”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Using Sweet Sorbet ink, I randomly stamped the daisy flower all over the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card. I added the flower centres using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The trio of tiny dots were added, randomly, over the same panel using Parakeet Party ink. The decorated panel was then glued to the Parakeet Party layer which was then adhered to the Sweet Sorbet card base. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive on both occasions.

The sentiment, from the Go To Greetings stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black along the bottom of the small basic white panel.

The cute little ladybird was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink above the sentiment and the wings added with Sweet Sorbet ink.

Using the Penned Dies, I die-cut a scalloped edge along the bottom of the 3¼” by 2¼” panel of Basic Black card. I glued the sentiment piece above the scalloped edge and trimmed the excess length of card away. A length of Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the panel, secured on the back with Sellotape.

The whole piece was added to the card front on Dimensionals and a Black Baker’s Twine bow completed the card.

So sweet, I hope you like it.
