Magnolia Floating Inner card – Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where our theme this month is ‘Fun Folds’. I have used to gorgeous Magnolia Mood stamp set and co-ordinating Dies along with the Mediterranean Blooms dsp which will be available from the 1st May in the new annual catalogue.

Colours in this project are:

To recreate the magnolia floating inner card, you will need:

Petal Pink card – 5¾” by 4⅛” x 2
Basic White card – 5½” by 3⅞” x 3
Mediterranean Blooms dsp – 5⅜” by 3¾” x 3
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”

Thick Basic White card – 11” by 4” scored at 2¾”, 5½” & 8¼”
Petal Pink card – 3¾” by 2½” x 4 x 4
Mediterranean Blooms dsp – 3⅝” by 2⅜” x 4
Scrap Basic White

The 5⅜” by 3¾” panels of Mediterranean Blooms dsp were adhered to the 5½” by 3⅞” pieces of Basic White card. Two of these panels were then glued to the Petal Pink panels. I wrapped a length of Petal Pink Ribbon around the final panel securing it on the back with Sellotape. This panel was then adhered to the other side of one of the Petal Pink layers. This would be the front panel of the card.

I die cut a scalloped rectangle from the 4¼” by 3” piece of Basic White card using the Scalloped Contour Dies. The sentiment, from the Cake Fancy stamp set was stamped on the die cut rectangle in Night of Navy ink. This whole piece was added to the front panel on Dimensionals.

  1. a very simple pleat to make – at the time I discovered it, I thought it was so difficult – and with a guaranteed effect! It’s a gorgeous card and the magnolia stamp goes so well with it! Great job!
