Needle & Thread for February’s Classes

Today I am sharing the 3 cards the ladies made in this week’s classes using the Needle & Thread stamp set and the co-ordinating Needlepoint Elements dies.

We started with the most time consuming card first. Using scrap Whisper White cardstock the ladies stamped the all the elements ready to die cut them out. The large flower was stamped in Highland Heather ink, the smaller flower in Poppy Parade ink, the trio of flowers were stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink and the leaves in Pool Party ink.

We embossed a panel of Whisper White 4½” by 3” using the detailed stitched pattern. We rounded the upper right corner and glued the embossed panel to a slightly larger piece of Pool Party. Using all the die cut pieces we then built up the group of flowers using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and Stampin Dimensionals. We then added the completed panel to a Poppy Parade card base. A decorated Whisper White panel was added inside the card.

We started with a small piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 3⅝”by 2½”. We stamped the stitched edge along the top and down the left side of the piece in Gorgeous Grape ink. Next the leaves were stamped in Pool Party ink and the large flower was added using Poppy Parade ink.

The Needle & Thread stamp set has a great choice of sentiments for the ladies to choose from and they stamped their chosen sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink. We rounded the lower right corner of the Whisper White Panel and added it to a layer of Gorgeous Grape cardstock measuring 3¾” by 2⅝”.

Using the really sweet trio of butterflies we stamped the front of a Pool Party card base and added the stamped panel on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. We then tucked in scraps of Highland Heather, Poppy Parade and Gorgeous Grape cardstock to add a little more interest to the card.

This card was so simple to make. We started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock 5¼” by 3½. We randomly stamped all the images starting with the largest and working through to the smallest stamps. We used the same colour combination of Highland Heather ink, Poppy Parade ink, Gorgeous Grape ink and Pool Party ink. The ladies chosen sentiment was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink and added to a strip of Gorgeous Grape cardstock. The stamped panel was added to a layer of Poppy Parade cardstock……..and yes I did round a corner of both layers.

The panel was then added to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment was added with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. We added a bow using the gorgeous Highland Heather Organza Ribbon.
