Hello Cupcake for the CTD530 colour challenge

Today I am sharing a sweet card made using the Hello Cupcake stamp set for the CTD530 colour challenge. This stamp set is so versatile and so easy to use. I love it.

Making the card

I started by stamping the cupcake case in Smoky Slate ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. I also stamped the frosting in Berry Burst ink on the same piece of scrap Whisper White. Using my scissors I cut them out – the good news is that on the 1st March a new set of dies will be available to cut out these images…….hooray……I am not a big fan of fussy cutting. I added the frosting to the cupcake case with a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and set it to one side.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White 5⅛” by 3⅜” and stamped the large geometric background piece from the Graceful Garden stamp set in 2nd generation Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the cupcake and added it to the Whisper White layer. I stamped a scattering of the large and small flowers from the Hello Cupcake stamp set in Berry Burst ink.

The sentiment from the By the Bay stamp set was added to the stamped panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I rounded the upper left corner of the stamped panel before adding it to a layer of Basic Black cardstock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝”.

The topper was then added to a Berry Burst card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added a trio of Share What You love Artisan Pearls to the card front

For the inside of the card and the envelope I stamped the geometric stamp in 2nd generation Smoky Slate ink and added a scattering of the large and small flowers in Berry Burst ink.

A very simple but pretty card. I hope you like it.
