Purple Magnolia Anyone

I am loving the fabulous new Good Morning Magnolia stamp set which will be available for purchase from my online store from the 4th June when the new Annual Catalogue launches. I am really drawn to the huge flower stamp in the stamp set and have used it to make todays card.

To recreate the Purple Magnolia card you will need.

Highland Heather card base
Mossy Meadow 5½ by 3¾”
Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅜”
Mossy Meadow 4⅛” by 2¾”
Scrap Whisper White

I stamped the beautiful, huge flower image twice onto the largest panel of Whisper White cardstock in Mossy Meadow ink. Using my Big Shot and the Rectangle Stitched dies I die cut a piece from the middle of the panel.

I glued the outside frame area to the larger panel of Mossy Meadow cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using the following Blends markers I coloured in only the portions of the flowers on the smaller die cut panel – Mossy Meadow combo, Highland Heather Combo, dark Petal Pink and the Color Lifter.

The coloured piece was then glued to the smaller Mossy Meadow cardstock and added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and die cut it using the Rectangle Stitched dies. I ran it through twice as I wanted a smaller stiched frame. It was added to the card front with the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I coloured some of the Basic Pearls using my dark Highland Heather Blends Marker before adding them to the card. I stamped the large flower on the envelope and on the second panel of Whisper White in the Mossy Meadow ink.

Love this card.

  1. What size is the black layer? It is not mentioned see the white and purple but there is a 3rd layer. This is a continuation of a previous question and not a repeat
