Red Rose card

Today I am sharing a card made using the  Cottage Rose stamp set and Cottage Flowers Dies along with the Abigail Rose dsp to make a pretty red rose card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the red rose card, you will need:

Real Red card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – 1 for the inside – rounded upper left corner
Abigail Rose dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla card – 4” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Very Vanilla

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the panel of dsp to one of the larger panels of Very Vanilla card.

I wrapped a length of Real Red Ribbon around the panel before adhering it to the Real Red card base using the same liquid glue.

Using the Scalloped Contour Dies, I cut a scalloped rectangle from the smaller panel of Very Vanilla card and stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink. The panel was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

The flower and leaf sprig were stamped in Early Espresso ink onto scarp Very Vanilla card and coloured in using Real Red, Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake Blends Pens. I then die cut the images using the Cottage Flower Dies. I trimmed away the spriggy stems from the flower stamp, curved the flower image using a Bone Folder and added the images to the scalloped rectangle with a dab of liquid glue.
