Watercolor Contours card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by this picture and or colours. I have made a watercolor contour card using the Watercolor Shapes and Color & Contour stamp sets.

Colours used in this project:

To recreate the watercolor contours card, you will need:

Sweet Sorbet card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Night of Navy card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” x 2 – rounded upper right corner – one for the inside

I chose one of the smaller rectangle stamps from the Watercolor Shapes stamp set and mounted it onto the Stamparatus Plate.

I inked up the image using Pacific Point ink and stamped it down onto one of the Basic White panels. I cleaned the stamp, inked it up with Bermuda Bay ink, moved the plate up one hinge step and stamped again.

I repeated this image and stamped again in Garden Green, Daffodil Delight and Sweet Sorbet inks. I love using this technique and the result is fantastic.

A trio of flowers from the Color & Contour stamp set were stamped in Night of Navy ink, overlapping the coloured rectangles.

The sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set was stamped in Night of Navy ink three times. The stamped panel was then glued to the Night of Navy panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole panel was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

A Red Rhinestone was added to the centre of each flower to complete the card.

I really, really like it, I hope you do too.
