Roses for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we have a sketch challenge to work with. I have chosen to make a roses themed card using the Hues of Happiness dsp to make my card.

The colours used in this project are:

To recreate the roses card, you will need:

Melon Mambo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2
Granny Apple Green card – 3⅞” by 2⅝”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3¼”
Hues of Happiness dsp

I ran one of the Basic White panels through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the new Fern Embossing Folder and glued it to the Melon Mambo card front using Multipurpose Liquid adhesive.

The scalloped rectangle was die cut from the smaller piece of Basic White card using the Scalloped Contour Dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set was stamped onto the die cut rectangle with Granny Apple Green ink.

The scalloped rectangle was glued to the Granny Apple Green panel  using liquid glue and then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Using sharp scissors, I roughly trimmed some of the roses and leaves from the gorgeous Hues of Happiness dsp. I then die cut them more neatly using the Blossoming Happiness Dies.

I added a double White Baker’s Twine bow and a trio of Brushed Butterflies to finish the card.

I love this pretty paper. Hope you like the card.

Please continue to hop on and share the sketch inspired projects made by my fellow demos. Next up is the lovely Sue Allen.
