Sweet Bunny Card

Here is a sweet bunny card made using the Notes of Spring stamp set, March’s product of the month along with the Painted Illusions dsp, February’s product of the month.

Colours used in this card are:

I created the sweet bunny card using the following supplies:

Lost Lagoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic White – 5½” or 3¾”
Painted Illusions dsp – 5” by 3½”
Early Espresso – 3⅛” by 2½”
Basic White – 3¼” by 2¾”
Basic White – 1⅞” by ½”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside

Having cut my piece of Painted Illusions dsp I decided I wanted the colours in a different order so cut it apart. The top and bottom pieces are 1⅝” wide and the middle section is 1 ¾”. This leaves a gap between the pieces when they are adhered to the Basic White panel. The whole piece was glued to the Lost Lagoon card front.

I die cut the label from the 3¼” by 2¾” piece of Basic White card and stamped the outline bunny image on the label with Early Espresso ink. The same image was stamped onto Masking Paper and trimmed out. The bunny was coloured with the infill stamp using Pecan Pie ink.

The mask was added over the stamped bunny and the grasses added with Lost Lagoon and Granny Apple Green inks in both 1st and 2nd generation ink. The mask was then removed.

I used a Granny Apple Green Blends Pen to ‘ground’ the bunny and added Granny Apple Green ink to the bottom of the label with a Blending Brush. Lost Lagoon ink was added to the top of the label in the same way.

The decorated label was then glued to the Early Espresso panel which was mounted onto the card front on Black Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped along the bottom of the strip of Basic White card with Early Espresso ink. The sentiment was then tucked up underneath the raised panel.

A trio of Moody Palette Dots finished the card.
