Today for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop we are showcasing a project we have been working on. I have chosen to share a sweet card made for our team challenge using the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set. The theme of the challenge was ‘Weather’ and I felt that these cute Wellington Boots represented a rainy day perfectly.
To recreate the Wellington Boots card, you will need:
Basic Gray card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Basic White card – 4⅛” by 2¼” Pool Party card – 4⅛” by ⅜” x 2 Basic White card – 3½” by ⅜” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
I randomly stamped the boots in Basic Gray ink onto the Basic Gray card front.

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where it is all about the males today. I have chosen to use the Welcoming Woods stamp set to make my card. Whether you have hopped over from Cheryl’s blog, loved her project or have started with me, please continue to hop to see what inspiration others have to share today.
To recreate the welcoming woods card, you will need:
Soft Suede card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner Balmy Blue card – 4¾” by 3⅜” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 4½” by 3⅛” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside Basic White card – ¼” strip
I stamped the tree trunks from the Welcoming Woods stamp set in Soft Suede ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White. I love all the texture and definition you get in this image; the trunks look so real.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Welcoming Woods stamp set used for a masculine themed card for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop
The ‘ground’ was stamped in 2nd generation Soft Suede ink to give the effect of an horizon.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Welcoming Woods stamp set used for a masculine themed card for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop
I punched a circle using the 1” Circle Punch, placed it over the tree trunks to provide a ‘moon’. Using a Blending Brush I added Balmy Blue ink, lightly from the horizon line to the top of the card. I kept the colour light as I wanted a wintery sky effect. The masked circle was then removed.
The ground was coloured with a Blending Brush and Crumb Cake ink and I added the speckles from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in 2nd and 3rd generation Soft Suede ink to give the ground some texture. The stamped panel was added to the Balmy Blue layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Welcoming Woods stamp set used for a masculine themed card for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop
Using Soft Suede ink, I stamped the leaves from the Welcoming Woods stamp set onto the Soft Suede card front and added the stamped panel on Dimensionals.

I inked up the ‘seaweed’ image from the Whale Done stamp set using Pretty Peacock on the bottom and Just Jade ink I stamped down on the blended area. I stamped this multiple times in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation ink and at different levels.
The shoals of fish were added using So Saffron ink. The panel was then added onto one of the large Basic White panels using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive – roughly in the centre
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A cute male themed card using the While done stamp set and made for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop
I took the four panels of card stock measuring 4½” by 3” and cut them into thin strips, wider at one end than the other. Taking the strips, I added them to the 5¼” by 3½” layer of Basic White using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive leaving a small strip of white visible between the strips. I trimmed off any excess when the whole panel was covered.
Using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I cut a scalloped rectangle from the centre.
