On the Ocean for the Share it Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently and I am sharing a card made using the On The Ocean stamp set and dies which will be available in the new January – April 2023 Mini Catalogue.

 

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the on the ocean card, you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
By the Bay dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Pool Party card – 4¼” by 2⅝”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by 2½”
Basic White – ¼” strip
Scrap Basic White card

 

I glued the panel of By the Bay dsp to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue I used the same liquid glue to adhere the panel to the Night of Navy card base.

 

On the bottom of the smallest panel of Basic White card, I stamped the ‘wave’ image in Pacific Point ink.

 

I masked off a circle near the top of the card and added Pool Party ink to the ‘sky’, removed the mask and added a little So Saffron ink to the sun. The whole panel was added to the Pool Party layer and then to the card front with liquid glue.

 

The gorgeous sailing ship was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Basic White card. I die cut it out using the On The Ocean Dies. It was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

 

The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto the strip of Basic White which was then trimmed down and added to the card front.

This is such a great stamp set especially for my son who has volunteered many times on tall ships.
