A lovely Peacock Poinsettia Christmas card made using the Poinsettia Petals stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Peacock Poinsettia

I love a poinsettia plant, they add such a bright splash of colour in the dull Winter days. I know poinsettia’s are usually red, pink, cream or white but having done a quick Google search I came across a blue poinsettia plant……… I know …… Still I decided to run with it and have created a Peacock Poinsettia Christmas card.

To recreate the Peacock Poinsettia card you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Whisper White – 5⅞” by 2⅜”
Silver Foil – 5⅞” by ½”
Whisper White – 4⅛” by ¾”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” for the inside

I randomly stamped the full poinsettia image down the length of the strip of Whisper White card in Early Espresso ink.

The following Blends were used to colour in the images – Pretty Peacock and Rich Razzelberry. I used Pool Party Blends to add colour around the flowers.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I adhered the strips of Silver Foil to either side of the panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp st in Pretty Peacock ink onto the thin strip of Whisper White and added it to the card front with glue in the middle and a Dimensional on either end.

Using a Rich Razzelberry Blends Marker I coloured in 3 Basic Rhinestones and added them to the card front.

I hope you like it

A simple, stylish card made using the Royal Peacock stamp set and the gorgeous Copper Delicata ink

Royal Peacock meets copper

I have been dying to try out the new Metallic inks that are coming in the Autumn/Winter catalogue and have chosen to use the Copper ink with the Royal Peacock stamp set.

To recreate the Royal Peacock card you will need:

Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Silver Foil 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White 5⅜ by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner for the inside
Whisper White 5 ¼” by 3 ½” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Pretty Peacock

The gorgeous peacock was stamped on the smaller Whisper White panel in Pretty Peacock ink. I added the second layer of colour using the lovely new Copper Delicata ink. Love the soft shimmer it gives to the image.

On the remaining panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the peacock and glued it inside the card. The envelope was decorated using the same stamp.

Feathery peacock for a thank you card

A simply Beautiful Peacock

OMG I am in love with a Beautiful Peacock. It comes from the aptly named Beautiful Peacock stamp set which is one of the free choices with a £45 order from the new Sale-a-Bration brochure.

I stamped the body of the peacock in Bermuda Bay ink onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock 5” by 3¼”. Using Lemon Lime Twist ink I stamped the image of a ‘spray of feathers/leaves’ twice to form the tail of the bird. I then stamped the ‘flourish’ style image in Bermuda Bay ink to give the effect of a full, luxurious tail.

I stamped the dotty image in Pacific Point ink before randomly stamping the ‘tiny flower’ image in the same Pacific Point ink. The sentiment from the same stamp set was added in Lemon Lime Twist ink. I felt the peacock needed ‘grounding’ and added a swipe of Smoky Slate using the light Stampin’ Blend.

I added the stamped panel to a layer of Pacific Point cardstock 5⅛” by 3⅜” using Tombow Liquid Adhesive before adhering the whole panel to a Thick Whisper White card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
