Peacock Poinsettia

I love a poinsettia plant, they add such a bright splash of colour in the dull Winter days. I know poinsettia’s are usually red, pink, cream or white but having done a quick Google search I came across a blue poinsettia plant……… I know …… Still I decided to run with it and have created a Peacock Poinsettia Christmas card.

To recreate the Peacock Poinsettia card you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Whisper White – 5⅞” by 2⅜”
Silver Foil – 5⅞” by ½”
Whisper White – 4⅛” by ¾”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” for the inside

I randomly stamped the full poinsettia image down the length of the strip of Whisper White card in Early Espresso ink.

The following Blends were used to colour in the images – Pretty Peacock and Rich Razzelberry. I used Pool Party Blends to add colour around the flowers.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I adhered the strips of Silver Foil to either side of the panel.

The whole piece was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp st in Pretty Peacock ink onto the thin strip of Whisper White and added it to the card front with glue in the middle and a Dimensional on either end.
