Suit & Tie February Class In the Mail

Here are the cards I designed for the February Class in the Mail and featuring the Suit & Tie dies and the Well Suited designer Series Paper (dsp).

Colours in these projects are:

 

Trio of Ties

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pacific Point layer – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – one for the inside
Well Suited dsp – 3⅝” by 2½”
Well Suited dsp – to die cut tie pieces

Glue one of the Basic White panels to the Pacific Point layer. Glue the panel to the Night of Navy card base and add the strip of dsp to the card front.

Glue the top knot onto the top of each tie and add the ties to the card front with the middle one on dimensionals

Add a sentiment of choice.

Ladies Blouse

Blushing Bride card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Well Suited dsp – 5⅞” by 4⅛” with a die cut V neck
Basic White Lapel piece
Whisper White layer – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – for the inside
Basic White die cut buttons x 12
Night of Navy die cut buttons x 6
Pacific Point die cut buttons x 6

Glue the panel of DSP to the Blushing Bride card front, starting at the top and working down to the bottom. Trim off any excess from the bottom.

Add the Basic White lapels to the card base. Use glue at the vee and Dimensionals at the top of each lapel. Start with the vee and work up each lapel getting it straight.

Add White buttons below the vee.

Lay out the buttons for the necklace to get the positioning then glue down one at a time

Checked Shirt

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Well Suited dsp – 5⅞” by 4⅛ – semicircle punched from the top using 1¼” circle punch.
Well Suited dsp – placket (approx. 6” by ½”)
Well Suited dsp – collar (approx. 2¼” by 1¼”)
Night of Navy – pair of braces (aaprox 6” by 1”)
Silver Foil buckles and sliders – 2 of each
Basic White buttons x 8

Glue the DSP to the Basic White card front, lining the top up first.

Glue the dsp placket to the dsp starting in the centre of the punched semicircle. Trim excess off the bottom. Add the buttons down the centre with glue.

Add the collar on Dmensionals lining up the top first. Add the buckles and Sliders to braces then glue the Braces into position.

Suit & Tie

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Well Suited dsp – – 5⅞” by 4⅛ – die cut Vee
Basic Gray lapels and buttons x 3
Basic White Collar
Dsp pocket, tie and hankie

Place the collar at the top in the centre – don’t glue it down as you need to position the top of the tie first.

Glue the tie in position, add the knot of the tie on a Dimensional then add the collar on Dimensionals

Glue down the DSP to the Basic White card front, lining up the top and sides.

Add the lapels to the card front Using glue at the base of the vee and dimensionals at the top of each lapel. Start with the vee and work up each lapel getting it straight.

Add the hankie to the back of the pocket and then adhere the pocket on Dimesionals.

Add the buttons.
