Artistic Flowers card for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

Hello and thank you for joining me for this months Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is colouring. I have been having fun playing with Blends Markers and Alcohol………such fun, add in the stunning Artistic Dies and I have one gorgeous artistic flowers themed card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the artistic flowers card, you will need:

Thick Basic card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Pumpkin Pie card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2, one for the inside
Vellum – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic Black card – ½” strip

I used the following dark Blends Markers – Polished Pink, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight to scribble blocks of colour onto the Vellum.

I dipped an almost empty Clear Wink of Stella Brush to splatter and dab 90% alcohol onto the Vellum allowing the ink to spread and pool. The panel was then set aside to dry. Doesn’t it look cool?

When the Vellum was dry, I trimmed off ¼” from the side and the bottom to decorate the inside panel and the envelope. The Vellum was then added to one the Basic White panels using tiny dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The panel was then added to the Pumpkin Pie panel using the same liquid glue. I used Dimensionals to add the panel to the Thick Basic White card base.

Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Artistic Dies, I die cut the floral group from the panel of Basic Black.

The sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Basic Black card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with a Heat Tool. I flagged the end and added the sentiment to the card front with liquid glue.

I love this card; The colours are spectacular together and I especially love the slight sparkle the Clear Wink of Stella has given to the Vellum. So pretty.
